So, everypony, today we have a remix of what might be the best “ASOS: Chocolate” track, “One Small Thing”, and who better to remix an already great song into something that may be even greater than Nicolas Dominique? The song starts out with Koa’s amazing vocals muffled behind a calming beat, and the vocals get louder and clearer as the beat builds up. Then the vocals stop and we are able to fully appreciate the awesomeness of the beat before Koa’s voice comes back in and the beat takes a back seat and becomes more drum heavy to support the lyrics. The beat then takes over once more showing how well it stands on its own. As the chorus sets in the beat ramps up to awesomeness levels way beyond 20% cooler, and as the song builds up to Arch’s rap the beat stands on its own supported by a loop of Koa’s amazing singing. As Arch starts rapping the beat again becomes more drum heavy to support the expertly delivered lyrics, and it stays that way as Koa takes over once more. The song ends on a slightly different version of the beat for a worthy send off.

We’re all equal here! To our greatest delight, SpinScissor made a fan song about Starlight in the S5 premiere and that eerie cutie mark vault! The lyrics are expressing Starlight’s perspective so well and it feels so epic, there’s vocal chops of her voice from the show as well which makes it even more emotional, and the old-school Dubstep-like instrumental feels so nostalgic!
My second favorite from P@D Eclipse, And In Darkness May She Reign is the kind of dark beauty from Tripon that we all wished for when we saw that name in the tracklist. Atmospheric, deep and mysterious, its progression is a real journey into unknown and faraway territories, and also a trip into fascinating lore that the musician crafted and that you can read from the description!
Dandelion is sharing some more Psychedelic Rock pieces lately and it’s such a delight for the fan of 70s rock that I am! This one is lovingly using Fluttershy vocal samples to make a “Fluttershy Boo-Hoo edition” (I sure got that reference!) and the result is so nostalgic and refreshing at the same time!
Everypony you have got to read the amazing description that Night Blaze wrote about this track!! Not only it’s telling such a heartfelt personal backstory about his creative endeavors and what the community means to him, but it’s also explaining all the lore and backstory to the Equestria he’s imagining for his pony songs! It actually has a dark past, and there’s such an awesome, deep, philosophical and positive message about being in harmony with the darkness (facing your Shadow), leading to peace and the utopia we’re looking for! And the rework of the 2014 MLP tribute is expressing all that depth and those meanings, better than ever!
Ampderg’s concept album Icicle has just dropped, and this collab with Namii from it is showcasing the kind of creative and intricate soundscapes and sound design that you can expect, with Ampderg’s musical talent shining so bright!
RKDM‘s streak of mind-blowing and emotional songs making wonderful use of pony vocal chops continues, with this new masterpiece straight out of Ponies at Dawn Eclipse! Read my more detailled writeup from the description of this Cider Party upload if you want, and make sure to tell the musician how you appreciate what they’re making!
Midimistro and Luck Rock collabed again and with the help of Daymusik on the drums and Optix Tunes on the guitar solo, they made a lovely and cuddly song about brony memories! For more beautiful collabs, check out My World Exploded, a gem from 5 years ago!
For that DustCar race themed about “Who is best princess”, these two musicians took a different approach… You’ll hear it from the vocals and the skit at the end of the video too, and such songs made for fun are quite refreshing, all while being quite creative and blissful musically! A lovely and appreciated endeavor for sure!
From Luna’s Nightmare Society, DAϟH’s title track is an epic introduction to all the themed wonders of the album, with a progressive and atmospheric experience taking you through the roads less traveled… and they can be quite dark, as expected from the album!
