Likonan is back again after dropping an absolute banger with their “The Riddle” parody, and now they’ve gone all the way back in time to Senntenial’s “Bronies are Weird” and turned it into this banger of a remix! The instrumental is full of fun effects and great melodies that are simply too good to fully appreciate in a single listen! The vocals have some great effects applied to them which creates a really fun combination with the synths. While in some songs the lyrics, especially in the drop, tend to stick out from the instrumental a lot, this song combines both into a harmony of greatness!

Oh wow, I never thought I’d see a cover/parody of this song, but yet here we are! The original is an older classic that I used to listen to on loop, and this parody is just as good! Now, before I start tripping over my words in nostalgia, let’s get started with the instrumental: As you might expect it’s close to the original. In a lot of parts you can really hear the original, but if you remember what I’ve said back for the BlackIceMusic Remix of Anthropology, that isn’t a criticism but a compliment since you can also really hear that this is Likonan’s very own masterpiece. We get a chorus part that’s similar to the original, and then in other parts we get a more country sounding melody as both melodies alternate with a few different bits in between. I have to give thanks to Likonan for putting up the instrumental as a separate video (you can find it here) as it was a big help in evaluating and appreciating what makes this part of the song so amazing!
Now the lyrics: The lyrics are pony greatness! They match the flow of the original song nicely while being a nice tribute to the show. In the chorus sections we get references to the Mane Six and during the other parts there are references to some secondary characters!

Who said that with G5 on the Horizon we couldn’t have some more fun with G4 classics! “My Past Is Not Today” has become a very important hashtag for the fandom, because we all made mistakes in the past and deserve to be seen for who we are today. Derek Spear’s guitar work combined with the awesome vocals of MIKITANII make for an amazing song that is an undeniable delight!

Well, have I mentioned that Skyshard does amazing orchestral pieces? If not, let me do so now! “Onto Another Call of Destiny” is a wonderful piece dedicated to G5, and it’s full of the most beautiful strings, stunning drums, and so much more! I don’t make it a secret that I enjoy me some good orchestral music, but this blows everything else out of the water. No matter what you think of orchestral music, you will enjoy this!

GeekBrony & Drummershy – Last Tempest (feat. Vylet Pony) (Tw3Lv3 Remix) | Halftime / Neurofunk
Today we’ve got ourselves another banger from the amazing Tw3Lv3! The song “Last Tempest” is a few years old now, but that didn’t stop her from transforming it into this angry sounding, Neurofunk masterpiece. We start this track with a beat that slowly builds up until it hits us like a ton of bricks, and then the song ramps up to an amazing drop. After that we get this slower beat with slightly muffled lyrics, which creates a really good atmosphere for this song, before we return once more to the build up and drop and an awesome instrumental section. For the next drop we get a bit of a different melody, and afterwards we get a DnB-sounding part before the song slowly fades out.

Agatan, BlueBrony & Drummershy – Above the Waves | Synthpop
Today I’ve got something special for you, everypony! For his newest song BlueBrony recruited not only the amazing Drummershy but also the fantastic Agatan for this lovely song about the seaponies. This Synth-Pop masterpiece is sure to get you dancing, and with it being five minutes long you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the sweet vibes! The lyrics focus on the Seaponies’ desire to escape their underwater prison and rise above the waves once more. Did I mention yet that this combination is absolutely perfect for Synth-Pop? I’ve mentioned a few times before how much I love it when musicians combine two genres that are so different that they shouldn’t work together, and yet somehow they manage to meld them perfectly. Valoria and Skyshard have done exactly that, and the result is this amazing piece of music that is sure to get you jumping! This blissful EDM combination perfectly fits the setting of Las Pegasus, the city of fun and flashing lights!
