[P@D] AnNy Tr3e – Burn (feat. Metajoker) | Progressive House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 23 March 2018.

AnNy Tr3e has released a few pretty neat house tracks, but this is definitely his best so far in my opinion. Featuring some fantastic vocals from Metajoker, it builds up in a classic progressive way to a high energy house-y drop with some engaging compositional work and nicely clean mix.

Suskii – Stealth (feat. Kozmos) | Dubstep

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 25 March 2018.

Suskii’s new Changeling-themed EP Bugsquad Pt. 2 is out now in full force, and this track featuring vocals from Kozmos showcases it pretty well. Kozmos’ rapping builds the track up to a heavy dubstep drop that, like most of Suskii’s tracks, has a distinctly insectoid feel to it, before a powerful melodic break that leads into more wubs.

[P@D] Blue Note & Wandering Artist – Ellipse | Orchestral

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 21 March 2018.

Blue Note, often appearing as half of A Symphony Of Two, and Wandering Artist, otherwise known as John Doe, creator of the Ponytown soundtrack, have teamed up together for a pretty awesome collab! Divided into two parts that represent the cycle of day and night, it’s a very classically oriented piece, and makes beautiful use of a variety of different orchestral instrumentation, and moves between uplifting energetic segments, and softer more thoughtful ones.

[P@D] UndreamedPanic – Running Out Of Days (feat. Namii) | House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 20 March 2018.

UndreamedPanic’s house tunes are some of my favourite creations in the fandom, so it’s always awesome to see more of them from him. This one features some excellent vocals from Namii, which complement the superb vocal chopping that occurs throughout the track. Some powerful dance-y piano provides impetus to the piece, and the bright and uplifting synth design and composition wraps it all together nicely.

The Balefire Symphony – Red Eye | Orchestral / Rock

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 19 March 2018.

What an awesome orchestral track we’ve got from The Balefire Symphony here! It’s a heavy orchestral/rock hybrid track about Red Eye, an antagonist from Fallout Equestria. There’s a great mix of guitar and strings, plus some solid percussion backing it up.

[P@D] Totalspark – Acension | Drum & Bass

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 19 March 2018.

A gorgeous chilled out tune here from Totalspark! This piece is full of lovely soft synth sounds and reverberating bells that play some beautiful melodies as steady drum & bass percussion resonates throughout.

[P@D] Einarx – Conqueror | Dubstep

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 19 March 2018.

Einarx’s dubstep is always awesome, but especially so when combined with interesting compositional design. That’s the case here with some strong arabian influence to the whole track. The drop itself is full of a great mix of different sounds, and is arranged in a way that keeps things interesting, but also with the power indicative of Tempest Shadow.

[P@D] Suskii – Top Bug | Dubstep

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 14 March 2018.

Taken from the recent Ponies At Dawn – Rebirth album, Suskii’s latest track is full of awesome heavy dubstep sound design that has a distinctly bug-y feel to it, definitely nailing the changeling atmosphere.

[P@D] DJT & R3CTIFIER – Exiled (feat. N. Hollow) | Trap

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 14 March 2018.

DJT and R3CTIFIER always produce awesome stuff when they collaborate, though this one’s a bit different to their previous collaborations. Featuring some excellent rapping from N. Hollow, this trap tune packs a lot of a punch, with clean and aggressive sound design helping to showcase the desolate nature of the Fallout Equestria world.

Vylet Pony – Hold on Before I Forget | Indie Pop

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 12 March 2018.

Vylet’s gentle works from his Tales From Equestria album continue, and this one has a pretty strong focus on his vocals. They come across pretty emotional and sultry here, with some great use of reverb in the instrumental to add some heavy feeling to it. The backing vocals also add another layer of depth.
