Rarity Advocate – Princess Luna Suite | Orchestral Electronic

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 9 November 2017.

After the epic symphony that was Rarity Advocate’s last release, they’re back with a slightly less ambitious but no less awesome piece with Luna as the centrepiece. Some subtle electronic vibes quickly make way for some soaring strings and occasional pulsing bass vibes, and overall this has quite a sombre tone to it, before it gets more uplifting towards the end, perhaps signalling a redemption.

Filly in the Box – Split | Drumstep

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 28 September 2017.

A new track from Filly In The Box is always certain to come with two things – awesome pony vocal chops and some heavy bass design. Both of those are in strong presence here, as part of a track about the two sides to a Changeling. The melodies throughout the track are also pretty interesting and hold it up outside the heavier parts.

174UDSI – Dancing In The Sunlight | House

This piece from UDSI is super upbeat, with excellent melodies combining with his signature style of sound design to make a really dance-y tune. It doesn’t bring anything especially ground-breaking to the table, but if there’s one thing UDSI excels at, it’s doing the basics really well, which is very much on show here!
