EveryDayDashie – A Special, Special Tune | Orchestral

October 17, 2024, the date Tell Your Tale released its final episode. In commemoration of memories and friends made along the way, EveryDayDashie released this special, special tune.

The opening of this orchestral number feels like a walk through a hall of heroes. Amongst the first soft but gradual increase of the reeling flutes, the brass comes in, A grand, regal door opening onto a pantheon of memories, bold and sweet, yet also somber. There is this pinch of sorrow, this pinch of lemon or salt keeping the themes in one’s mind. All through this, there is an alternation of these swelling reels and softer interludes of the themes, the somber bits laced all through-out in surprising places.

Until suddenly, with this grand swell, we find ourselves in a quiet meadow. There is still a drive, but it is quieter now… gradually it rises, and again regal reals with a pantheonic quality and hint of sorrow, before we find ourselves in a playful forest village jaunt, which climaxes into being more regal than the song has yet been, into a true anthem. This subsides, for only long enough for us to be surprised by its truly awe-inspiring and triumphant return.

This is a truly wonderful work and deserves a full listen, so make sure to send EveryDayDashie your love.

BlueBrony & MathematicPony – Pony Therapy | Musical

Pony therapy is a fantastic stage musical style work by the collaboration of BlueBrony and Mathematic Pony. This number is extremely fun and a great break from the woes of this weary time, with its wonderful barbershop-quartet like tune about “just one thing” which everypony needs: “It’s pony Ther-a-py!”

BGM & Vul – Party of One | Rock

Party of One is a sock-hoppy party song about Pinkie Pie’s isolation, ironically produced as a team effort between Vul and BGM. This fun song hearkens back to an episode of the same name (S1:E25) in which Pinkie finds herself parting with a roomful of inanimate objects as she feels her friends have all rejected her. This song does a great job of capturing the energy of that particular party, which was simultaneously frantically tragic and hilarious, and only by listening to the lyrics does one realize how truly sad the situation is. The track is a truly exciting piece and is worth the listen.

4EverfreeBrony – Pain | Acoustic

4EverFreeBrony’s Pain is a folksy sort of song in the best possible way, like a lullaby in its sincerity, but lively with its guitar and upbeat traveler’s tempo.

His voice brings a certain rawness and vulnerability, and speaks a truth about themselves, about someone they love, and the nature of existence. It is a truly heartfelt song which everyone will enjoy.

EveryDayDashie – The My Little Pony Symphony (40th Anniversary Reorchestration) | Symphony

My Little pony, among many other wonderful things, is an adventure, and this particular orchestration by EveryDayDashie does a wonderful job of displaying that magic. Opening with the gentle sparkle of glockenspiel the Symphony then swells into a grand display of the beloved main theme the true introduction to the work. That beloved motif, as well as some newer ones, follow us though the rest of the song, though greatly changed through the context of the music around it. From the gentle notes of a lullaby mimicking a frolic though the meadows to heroic charges and the crashing as a storm at sea, truly this music is as a trip though Equestria, with both old friends and new, and a journey you won’t want to miss.

PumpkinZ – Clear the Rain | Kawaii Future Bass

PumpkinZ ‘s Future Bass track, “Clear the Rain” is a fun piece that manages to be both calm and driving in equal measure. It is their first attempt at producing music of the kawaii genre, and
it is a pleasant mix of calmer sections with a nice plethora of risers and drops — I could write to this music all night long. Quick and upbeat, it is enjoyable music that deserves all the love it might acquire.

General Mumble – Be Still | Electronic/Dance

General Mumble’s “Be Still” is a creative jaunt of spooky, funky fun, with just a touch of the creepy that will have you bobbing your mane and stepping your hooves. Perfect for any Nightmare Night gathering, the piece really catches the mood of the season.

The atmosphere is dramatic and while the music is upbeat the dichotomy between the upbeat tone, the unsettling undertones and the dark shift in lyrics in the second act are truly to die for.
