It may not be much to offer this time round (because reasons), but the 9th edition of the My Little Remix forum’s Remix Wars has finished up. Albeit with few contributions this time round, for various reasons, here’s what the forum frequenters have to offer!
MYCUTIEMARKISAGUN is first up, remixing one of the WIPs/sounds doodles SoaringFlight left behind before his passing a few years ago. Expect hip-hop and trap fusion based around a spooky lead melody.
Technickel takes on an older song from Steel Chords, one that had a more personal message behind it, and makes a happy little electronica remix of it. All the major keys.
Relic Kid chose a good song to remix; Let Me Into Your Heart is one of the only brony reggae songs I’ve ever heard, and this tropical house remix goes very well with the vocals. And it totally doesn’t sound like Lean On.
A chillstep remix, something I wasn’t quite expecting to see from AnimatronicPony. This take on UndreamedPanic’s The Quest also features a bit of help from Budzy, and marks a really good improvement from Anima on his music.
I learned something new today – Direct Current once did vocals on a really old and unknown track. So for this remix war, he decided to take a trip down memory lane and remix it will completely new re-recorded vocals! It has an old school JackleApp feel to it, really reminds me of the early days in the brony music scene.
EDIT: Late minute entry from fractilx, remixing an older song of Dynamite Grizzly’s from one of the Balloon Party albums.
