Art by ACharmingPony. Because it’s been months since we posted any Taviscratch on Twitter!

In case some of you didn’t know, we’re very much behind on posting current music, so we thought one way to help us catch up would be to compile all the Hearts and Hooves music into one post for you to enjoy! Catch it all after the break…

NB: Some of these songs were originally posted on Equestria Daily by ExplodingPonyToast, with a note and link to the original posts where necessary.

‘Cute acoustic’ seems to have become Crusader!’s signature style of music; this love song for a batpony being no exception. And of course, there’s a little melodica solo to top it all off!

If this sounds perhaps a little dated, that’s because Romstar originally started this track back in 2014, and only just got round to releasing it. But nonetheless, they managed to get it finished in time for H&H this year – a song for the princess of love.

This track features both 4everfree and Chi-Chi’s vocals taking centre stage with some beautiful harmonies and a great use of mandolin to play some lovely melodies.

Here we have a Shining Armour and Princess Cadence inspired track from ThisSideOfOblivion that starts off with some light orchestral elements, including a flute sound playing a really catchy lead melody. Later on in the track there’s some sax sounds and some sort of electronic organ that really help to give the piece some depth.

Liquid Harmony’s latest song combines elements from a couple of different genres – it primarily has a chillout vibe to it, but is accompanied by acoustic drums throughout which give it a little bit of a pop-rock feel too.

Not contempt with just one song, NeoN has put together an entire Hearts and Hooves album! The lead track from it here is a showcase of the kind of style to expect from it, with a wonderful melody throughout a strong arrangement of lighter and more energy-filled parts.

This song focuses on Vylet’s vocals, with a stripped back instrumental of acoustic guitar, piano and some lovely string sounds.

Continuing the resurgence of orchestral music in the fandom in recent times, here’s some more by A Symphony of Two and Cainbow Rrash. They’re at it again with a beautiful little tribute to Cheerilee and Big Macintosh that’s full of warm feeling strings and lovely little bits and pieces besides.
