[P@D] Wandering Artist – The End of Seasons (ft. Velvet R. Wings) | Soundtrack

Wandering Artist was born to make beautiful soundtrack pieces like this one. Track 70 from Ponies at Dawn: Eternal, we have a beautifully relaxing piece that could easily be a fitting soundtrack to a long trek through a massive landscape. The beautiful orchestral instruments coupled with the talented Velvet R. Wings‘ voice as the song takes on various phases all mesh together well to create a brilliant tribute to the show that brought us all together, as well as yet another brilliant addition to the P@D family.

Sertrixy – Everlight | Progressive House

If there’s one thing progressive house musicians are great at, it’s creating intense atmosphere, and this beautiful piece is an example of why. This track has a handful of different phases, starting off with a brilliant plucked melody alongside vocal samples from the show before quickly building up to an uplifting chorus with a synth line that just oozes positivity. Half-way through, the song winds down for a bit with a soft bassline and more vocal chops, giving the whole thing a heavenly vibe. It’s almost as if their voices were made for this kind of music. Don’t miss out on this one, folks!

Suskii – Daybreaker (Vylet Pony cover) | Post-Hardcore

Suskii’s back with more of his newfound guitar-driven heaviness, and this time it’s a cover of Vylet Pony‘s Daybreaker! This rendition is a much heavier take on the original with punchy drums, powerful screams and infectious harmonies. A nice take on Vylet’s own track, definitely on par with the original!

[P@D] RKDM – Calibrate | Glitch-Hop

Track 14 of the fresh off the presses compilation album Ponies at Dawn: Eternal is RKDM’s electro contribution, Calibrate! This one features their typical style of glitch hop with all their familiar elements, namely vocal chops from the show, brilliant synth melodies and powerful bass sounds of many kinds. A great addition to an already great album!

Vylet Pony – My Letter to the Princess (ft. a lot of bronies) | R&B

With MLP:FiM’s ending depression still washing over the fandom, it’s no surprise that there’s also a wave of cathartic music made in its wake, with this one being no exception. The ever-prolific Vylet has made a brilliant and emotional track about remembrance and the world Twilight helped create that will last forever. This track reaches a climax towards the end with a massive vocal group of 60 people in the fandom singing together in harmony, which only goes to show how far this fandom has come. Thank you Vylet, and thank you everypony.

[ASOS] Light Assassin – Family Reunion | Complextro

Track 18 from ASoS: Waffle, we have Light Assassin with their usual brand of complextro again! With sprinkles of glitzy synths, hyped build-ups and a dash of nostalgic 8-bit sounds, this sweet treat is an easy fit in the ASoS catalogue.

[P@D] BlackIceMusic – The Fuff | Melbourne Bounce

“I’m Kerfuffle, spelled like it sounds but with a double *FFFFF* for the ‘fuff’!”

Track 39 from Ponies at Dawn Eternal, we have BlackIceMusic doing what they do best: Melbourne Bounce. True to its name, The Fuff is a bouncy track based on easily one of the most memorable characters from MLP Rainbow Roadtrip – Kerfuffle – and is sprinkled with samples of her voice among others from the special in addition to the infectiously groovy track. Let’s hope this kickstarts a wave of Kerfuffle songs!

[P@D] Osoch – Song of Tyrants (feat. DivinumX, Chris Wöhrer and Wubcake) | Death Metal

If there was an award for the heaviest track on Ponies at Dawn Eternal, this would be an easy win. Track 51 on the compilation, Osoch is back with his third contribution. Along with the vocal talents of DivinumX, Chris Wöhrer and Wubcake, we have an incredibly heavy death metal song about a clash between Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. With riffs heavier than a 10-tonne weight and a beautiful blend of clean and harsh vocals, we have a brilliantly heavy progressive masterpiece in our hooves.

[P@D] Jyc Row – Lunar Rebellion [月の反逆 / Tsuki no Hangyaku] (feat. Satomi) | Soundtrack

Jyc Row strikes again. Track from Ponies at Dawn Eternal, he’s teamed up with a singer who goes by the name Satomi, who also wrote the lyrics about Luna and Celestia fighting as part of the Lunar Republic, in Japanese, no less! What follows is a beautiful orchestral soundtrack piece with powerful electronic percussion, creating something that sounds straight out of an anime. It’s not often we get Japanese songs in the fandom, so this is a nice change of pace!
