Vylet Pony – Diaries I Kept (feat. Namii) | Pop

Vylet and Namii are an unstoppable duo. Track 10 from Love Letters: Colourless, the two sing together perfectly over an incredibly upbeat and catchy pop beat. This one’s a standout track compared to the album’s consistent melancholic sounds and chord progressions, though the lyrics still deal with Rainbow Dash’s longing to express her love for Rarity. What an emotional tidal wave!

Voodoo Pup & Destiny Howard – I Think You’d Be Proud | Country

Voodoo Pup is a recent face in the fandom’s music scene, as this is his first original tune based on the show. To help out, he’s enlisted the talents of singer Destiny Howard, who sings beautifully here. The song is a calm country number based on The Perfect Pear from the perspective of Applejack, singing about her parents, and how – if they were still around – she hopes they’d be proud of her for how far she and the rest of her family have come. I can tell you for a fact that we are!

Morphmoon – I Like Fast | Synthwave

You like fast? You’ll probably like this too. This track is a quick-paced synthwave piece from Morphmoon, formerly known as Lunar, and being as such, it takes influence from older forms of electronic music, such as an 80s sounding bass, though the overall feeling of the song reminds me of module music from the mid to late 90s. I guess you could say that synthwave’s making waves in the fandom right now!

Silva Hound & StrachAttack – Punk Rocks (feat. Namii) [Chang31ng Edit] | Electro House / Progressive House

This banger from Ponies at Dawn: Skyward is back, except with a newer coat of paint. A good chunk of the song is essentially the same as the original track, although this version is cut in half and includes a couple of new drops with the familiar Chang31ing flair. If you’re familiar with the original track, this should be a new experience.

Frozen Night – Equilibrium | Orchestral

Frozen Night is easily one of the fandom’s leading heroes when it comes to orchestral music, and this song is a prime example as to why that is. This beautiful piece has two halves; the first one is a slow and beautiful motif, but halfway through, it quickly builds up into an epic section with fast percussion and driving string instruments. While the two sections are almost night and day with their pace, they fit so well together that the sudden transition doesn’t feel jarring. This will be a part of Frozen’s upcoming album scheduled for release in November, so look out for that!

Zephysonas – Steam Innovation | Orchestral

What is going on inside of Zephysonas’ head? We’ve got ourselves an orchestral piece with elements of steampunk, and honestly, it works! At the start of the song, the sounds of train whistles, bell chimes, clockwork sounds and other machinery can be heard slowly gaining in volume until the orchestral elements slowly fade in as well, along with a harpsichord. It creates a perfect blend, definitely creating the feeling of walking through a warehouse full of machinery. Zephy’s hit it out of the park once again!

Wootmaster – Tree House | House

While Wootmaster’s very active in the MLP music scene, it’s not often he puts out a solo song; in fact, it’s been nearly a year since his last release, but this one was definitely worth the wait. He’s delivered a long house tune with plenty of MLP samples, particularly of Pinkie (who can be heard making percussion sounds all throughout, no less!) and the student six, with numerous references to Uprooted and What Lies Beneath. Alongside the familiar house music ensemble, a saxophone is added into the mix, creating a jazzy feel. This unique track will definitely hype up the club, and become a welcome addition to the Wootmaster discography!

Koron Korak – Fluffin’ Gaming | Chiptune

Koron Korak returns with a chiptune melody that sounds absolutely perfect for a video game. The overall feeling is very cheery and bouncy, complete with xylophone sounds and catchy synths. Coupled with this is a visual of the original NES Super Mario Bros, with Mario and Luigi escorting Fluttershy to the end of each level, with cameo appearances from Discord and Rarity. Definitely a nostalgic piece, this one!

DoodledMoosic – brony_rappers.egg | Hip-Hop

DoodledMoosic’s back with a solo song, although there’s an interesting twist… Throughout this nearly 5 minute song, he spends every 8 bars doing very accurate impressions of other rappers in the MLP music scene, such as J. Free, MC Arch, NickyD, ShobieShy and… iBringDaLULZ? Nah, we can’t have nice things all the time. Either way, we’ve got a rap piece that’s both funny and great to listen to, especially if the names mentioned all ring a bell in your head.

Dynamite Grizzly – No Worries (Gameday Mix) | Psytrance

Dynamite Grizzly is a beast. This time, he’s released a remix of his track from three years ago, No Worries. While the original was a calm techno piece with soft string synths and 808 drums all around, this one’s more erratic. Some of the elements from the original song are still present, such as the slapped bass samples, but overall it takes a clear influence from trance/rave music from the 90s, so much so that if you’d told me this track was actually from the 90s, I’d believe you! This is definitely something that could be used to pump up athletes before a game.
