[BP] Drixale – Sing For The Night | Chillout
As part of Everfree Park Ranger’s (formerly Balloon Party) newest album “Everfree Park: After Hours” Drixale brings us this wonderful and calm piece. A combination of soft synths, some vocal chops and even lyrics from Drixale himself makes this a calm and catchy piece that I’ll have on repeat for a while.
Koa – Supercut (You Don’t Know What I Did Last Night) | Pop
Well, Koa never fails to please but her album “In Your Eyes” definitely knocks it out of the park! And today I’ll tell you just a little bit about Supercut, but let’s start from the top: The song kicks straight off with Koa’s amazing vocals before the upbeat instrumental kicks in, mainly featuring a hypnotizing beat and a catching acoustic guitar that’ll get stuck in your head! Both vocals and instrumental get their own times to shine and overall this song makes you wish it was a lot longer! The lyrics creatively cover the kind of people who spend their time spreading lies and half truths for their entertainment, and indeed sometimes people only see a supercut of who we really are.
Japkozjad – Gravity | Progressive House
Today I’m delighted to bring you another amazing House track, this time around brought to us by the amazing Japkozjad! The song features a constant and catchy melody that already feels like you’re floating through space. Featuring fun drops and a beat that’ll get stuck in your head, this song is awesome for the entire four and a half minute duration and you should definitely check it out!
Pipetka – Despair | Hybrid Orchestral
Content warning: mentions of death, pleading, crying.
Suffice to say, this song is a roller coaster of emotions. It starts out straight off the bat with terrifying vocals and pleading for life, supported by nothing more then low synths, before guitars set in to properly start the track. Everything takes a while to build, supported by another small vocal part, as the piece crescendos to a powerful drum solo. Towards the second half the song becomes more hopeful, with high strings and triumphant horns, making for a strange but quite interesting shift in mood before the song comes to an end on a piano solo supported only partially by other instruments.
Michael Mahler, Alan Schmuckler & Vanessa Hudgens – Gonna Be My Day (Sawtooth Remix) | Happy Hardcore
Sawtooth never disappoints with their remixes, and this one definitely keeps with that trend! The fun and upbeat synth, combined with the awesome kicks make for this really special combination that is always enjoyable with happy hardcore, and Sawtooth really makes it special, putting their own very unique twist on the song! This one is a definite recommendation for all you who enjoy a little more kick in their music, and overall to anyone who likes good music!
Jyc Row – Applejack, Rotten to the Core | Orchestral
As part of his “Elden Wing EP”, named after the Elden Ring game, Jyc Row is doing epic boss themes for some of our favorite ponies! And my oh my did he nail Applejack! The eerie chants create this creepy atmosphere from the very beginning, and once the strings come in this is only ramped up! Giving us a truly bone-chilling track that could appear in a video game exactly like this! And with an end that works almost like an epic crescendo to the whole thing, this masterpiece will send shivers down your spine!
[BP5] Direct Current – Canopy Scattered Starlight | Pop / Chillout
Nope, you didn’t misread that tag in the title! Yes, Balloon Party is back! For the fifth album “Woodland Guide – Everfree Park Rangers” Direct Current put together a fun and entertaining track, relying mostly on the amazing instrumental, made of all sorts of fun beats and sounds, supported by the stunning vocals, this is a great track to just listen to and chill out for a while, just close the eyes and enjoy the little travel this track takes you on!
BlueBrony – okay | Piano Ballad
Now this is something you don’t see everyday! As part of the official soundtrack for Minty Root’s “Missing out”, BlueBrony wrote this amazing Ballad about Starlight’s struggles, how she is slowly coping with all her guilt. This is truly a beautiful piece that will bring you to tears. Sincerely, take your time and listen to this track in full, because this is a truly special experience!
[P@D] BlackIceMusic & Namii – Memory | Future Bounce
The king of Pony Bounce is back! For Ponies at Dawn’s latest album, “Zenith” BlackIceMusic brings us yet another fire Future Bounce song, and this time around we’re graced with the gorgeous voice of Namii delivering the catchy lyrics!
This track is fire from the very beginning with a banger intro that features some small vocal chops and a lot of umpf before a little break sends us straight into the first verse. Here Namii‘s incredible voice takes center stage as the kick in the beat disappears completely for a bit before coming back later to tease the build up a little. The build up starts up as you’d expect with the drums building as our drop melody slowly comes in, and some more amazing vocal chops spice things up. Next we get to the drop, which is Future Bounce perfection! We get a vocal fill right as the build up ends that shoots us straight into what is a partially lyric-supported drop; we get a fire melody that makes you get up and dance; and we get a kick that’ll punch you into next Tuesday! As the drop slowly fades Namii’s lovely vocals ease us into Verse 2. For the second build up we go a different route, and instead of the usual drum build, the big kicks start straight away, creating a sort of “drop before the drop”, before we move into the actual drop that hits just as hard as the first one, getting you up and dancing like you never knew you could! Finally we end this banger track in a gorgeous outro, supported by a few more vocal chops.
