Crimes Against Sound – Lyra Heartstrings (Peggy Lee ponified) | Rock

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 3 June 2018.

This is the first music release from Korneev (that I’m aware of at least), and it’s a good one too! A fantastic parody of Johnny Guitar (a song which some may have heard from the Fallout New Vegas soundtrack) all about Lyra, it has some absolutely gorgeous hand-drawn animation as well of Lyra jamming along.

Repent In Reprise – Becoming Popular (covering Daniel Ingram) | Orchestral

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 3 June 2018.

If you’re familiar with the old works of Dr. Dissonance, you’ll be excited to see something like this! Repent in Reprise’s rendition very much works off the same sort of style, with many industrial steampunk elements adding a nice unique flavour to the orchestral rendition on show here.

Elias Frost – Shine Like Rainbows (covering Daniel Ingram) | Rock

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 31 May 2018.

Elias Frost has another awesome rocking show cover, with a bit of a throwback to Rainbow Rocks! The chorus is as catchy as in the original, and the instrumental supports the vocals wonderfully, with an awesome video as well.

Silva Hound – Glimmer Time | Future House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 27 May 2018.

I’m always keen to see more of the modern house styles from the fandom, and Silva Hound has obliged here with a sleek Starlight Glimmer-focused future house tune. The break in the middle has some pretty neat vocal stuff going on, with banging drops either side.

Frozen Night – Tears of The Evernight | Orchestral Metal

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 30 May 2018.

Frozen Night’s works are always lovely to listen to and this beautiful piece is no different. The instrumentation throughout the track evolves in an especially gratifying way and there’s some pretty epic progressions as well. As is often the case with Frozen’s works, there’s a nice touch of metal guitar meshed together with the powerful strings and percussion.

[P@D] Seventh Element – Tetrahedral Memoir | Orchestral / Breakbeat

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 14 May 2018.

Seventh Element’s music can get exceptionally deep at times, especially when he forays into combinations of orchestral elements with breakbeat percussion and electronic synths. The result here is a gorgeous meld that tells a story of Twilight’s journey into her own mind to face some inner demons.

4EverfreeBrony feat. Koron Korak – Shining Star (covering Woodlore) | Acoustic Pop

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 27 May 2018.

WoodLore may be pretty much done with producing music for the fandom, but 4Everfree is keeping the spirit of his music alive with this beautiful interpretation of one of his old classics, Shining Star. Featuring some lovely violin from Koron Korak, 4Everfree’s vocals are a lovely new take on the lyrics with a soft and sweet instrumental.

Elias Frost – Noctem Aeterna II | Orchestral

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 23 May 2018.

A follow up to a previously-released Luna inspired orchestral track, this new piece focuses on her inner battle with Nightmare Moon. There’s plenty of vocal choir action going on, alongside plenty of strings and other lovely instrumentation that helps to build up to a climactic resolution.
