One Track Mind – A Thousand Years of Spite | Experimental Noise

I like experimental, and I like noise. I’ve never seen the two together, but I like this too! Vocal chopping (perhaps “shredding” is a better word) and an overriding, almost carnival-like melody are the bread and butter of the song, with the bass providing an excellent seasoning on top. Now this is a song to wake up to!

TPressleyJ – Shockwave | Hybrid Trap

Woohoo, some pegasus music! The severe weather warning is absolute gold, as is the [spoilers!] signal beep. The melody’s catchy, sinister, and thoroughly enjoyable. Delicious bass composition, rain effects, and drum placement round out the song. The thumbnail is intriguing – did Lightning Dust cause the storm?

[P@D] EnsionD – No Longer (feat. Francis Vace) | Tropical House

EnsionD’s beautiful synths and Francis Vane’s superb vocals collide in No Longer. With delightful hints of the Brony Sylenth Pack, the sound construction is truly masterful. Thematically, it’s about Cheerilee and her unrequited love. Soft drums and aethereal pads convey this romantic longing perfectly, lulling us away with the emotion.

Daniel Ingram – Babs Seed (Nicolas Dominique Re-Remix) | House

Nicolas Dominique revisits one of his best tracks ever, improving the production while keeping the spirit of the original. Mountaintop-crisp vocals, adorable 303-like blips and bleeps, and melodic synths amalgamate to form a truly wonderful song.

HAARDTEK – SPEED OF LIGHT | Epic Trance

Haardtek’s back! Man, that’s a name I haven’t seen in a long time. Speed of Light is absolutely unbelievable. The melody is beautiful, the drums are soothing and fast, and the overall sound design is stellar. This song channels Dash’s graceful, agile energy as she soars through the skies, and brings us along with her. Go listen to it right now!

TPressleyJ – Polar Opposition | Hybrid Trap

Leading with dialogue from the best episode so far, this song gets off to a snappy start. Trap isn’t really my thing, but this song got me bouncing anyway because it’s just so catchy! The drum selection is brilliant, the bass screechy and smooth, and the synths deliciously melodic saws. All around excellent!

Seventh Element – The 303 Has Been Doubled | Acid House

Ah, the TB-303! Such a lovely bass synthesizer. You kids might like Massive or Harmor or Sylenth, and while all those have their respective wonderful qualities, there’s something special about the 303. And Luna’s vocals fit just perfectly with the blips, beeps, and bloops. Truly a delightful song, especially for anyone feeling nostalgic for older synths.

Exiark – Dark Ascension | Dubstep

Exiark’s extra-wubbly dubstep is always a delight, and this song is no exception! Juicy kicks, haunting synths, and sliding bass twirl together in a panorama of sound. Beautifully chopped vocals layer another type of energy upon the instruments, with a lunar, eerie feel. Glorious, haunting, and powerful, this song is a brilliant work from any perspective.

fractilx – The Spectacle Remix | UK Hardcore

fractilx is a name I’ve been writing up a lot lately. And I’m quite lucky – their music is really, really good. The drum’s pounding makes it instantly recognizable as hardcore. The blips, though, are the most notable feature here–deliciously short, almost “clicky” synths arpeggiated brilliantly. A great homage to one of the most glitzy songs MLP has ever given us!

YourEnigma – Tell Me Why (On Hold VIP) (Feat. RhymeFlow) | Future Bass

YourEnigma is back from the dead with a spicy VIP of his classic On Hold. Lovely vocal chopping of RhymeFlow‘s great vocals and wiggling synths are the main course, while bouncy, slightly off-beat drums add another layer of magical energy.
