[P@D] Silva Hound & UndreamedPanic – New King (feat. Chi-Chi) | Electro House

We would now like to recognize the collaboration between UndreamedPanic and Silva Hound, which has been talked about before, but if any of you have wanted to know what they worked on, here’s the final result, a Thorax-themed track, reminiscent to the Season 6 finale!  The synth patches used are beautiful, especially when they’re paired with Chi-Chi’s vocal part.  The drops have a unique style to them, but the occasional bass hits put the cherry on top.  It’s pretty short and sweet, and it puts a nice touch to this community’s music library.  Nicely done!

Hirosashii – Journey | Electro House

Time for a huge comeback from this guy; three years since his previous video on his YouTube channel!  Boy, did he deliver the goods!  “Journey” will take you down a nostalgia trip, a journey through the MLP memory lane.  From the “Cupcakes” song to “We’re Not Flawless,” Hirosashii gives us nearly every iconic MLP song in the book!  And to top it off, he puts up a sweet electro house beat, which gives the vocals the background they need!  Quite creative and lighthearted there!

[P@D] syzygy. – Lunar Attack | Dubstep

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3yU9oRNOZI

To kick off her latest EP, “Paradoxical,” which is set to release on October the 7th, Syzygy gives us one of her works a little bit early, just for the hype of it, and boy did she pick a good one!  Oh, my wow, those basses are so strong, and the lead really gets the hype going for the drops!  A work like this is the perfect example of a textbook dubstep song.  If there was an MLP-themed Getter out there, Syzy would be it!

Matías Peñaloza – In Our Town (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Piano

Another well-done cover for piano has been played by Matías Peñaloza here, who has now given us the big song that Starlight Glimmer sang back when she was a villain.  The technique is clean, which makes this cover entertaining to listen to.  The accompaniment music really helps bring it all together, and it gives the cover, as a whole, a nice finish.  That’s some good stuff there; quite enjoyable!

Soul Strings ft. Chi-Chi – You’re In My Head Like a Catchy Song (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Soft Rock

Here’s another cover of Daniel Ingram’s “You’re in my Head like a Catchy Song!”  This one throws a bit of a curveball with the interestingly sweet chord progression!  The vocals are very well done; they’re clean, have good intonation, and they sound relaxed.  The bass guitar complements the accompaniment of the acoustic guitar, to point out as well.  Lastly, the post processing of this cover is quite satisfactory for the average listener to hear; it really enhances the instrumentation, especially with the reverb effect on the vocals!

Skelter – Nightmare | Hybrid Trap

You have to love some Nightmare Moon hybrid trap here, brought to you by Skelter this time!  The basses are creatively made, ominous, and in your face, and the track goes well with the famous “what” sample.  This definitely is its own kind of hybrid trap, and it is something dance-worthy!  Nicely done, Skelter!

UndreamedPanic – Destroy them All | Electro House

To kick off his latest EP, “Spirit Horse,” UndreamedPanic has some crazy electro house music for us that would fit wonderfully in something like a Dude Perfect trickshot video.  From the delicious basslines, to the well-timed vocal slices, to the crazy supersaws, this work will want to have you get up on your hooves and dance!  Also, “Destroy them All” kind of sounds like Virtual Riot’s “Energy Drink;” inspiration maybe?  As said before, this would definitely go on a MLP-themed HOWSLA album, but why bother when Panic has three other works on his EP that are all house-based?  There’s the MLP HOWSLA right there!
Now, the title is “Destroy them All,” but what is getting destroyed?  We may never know….

Psychoacoustic vs. Flyghtning – Opal | Deep House

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1iG0xSSIRE

It’s time for some deep house fun, Opalescence-themed!  This song is simple in composition, but it is a great one to dance to!  The sound design is awesomely unique, especially with the extremely thick bassline and the vibrato-filled lead.  Also, the drum patterns work wonders in complementing the moving lines.  “Opal” definitely reflects Opal’s personality; she just does her own thing!  Great job, Psychoacoustic and Flyghtning!

Dj Shadow Music – Crystallizing Memories | Tropical House

It’s time for more awesomeness from Dj Shadow Music! This one is a pretty chill tropical house beat. It definitely is a reminder of what the beach is like, especially a beach like Maui. The lead is well-done as a mellow timbre, as it contributes to the chill feel of the song. The drum pattern is pop-like and lighthearted, and the simplicity of the song actually adds to it’s overall feel. There is a claim that sometimes, less is more, and Dj Shadow has supported that claim!
