[P@D] Mantlegen – Free Fall Adventure | Electro House

I guess electro house is the best way to describe this, but that drop is something pretty unique. It seems to take some sort of influence from big room but maintains the lively mix of sounds that electro often brings to the table. So have whatever this is, Mantlegen’s solo contribution to Voyager.

CainbowRrash – Ping Timeout…Message Not Delivered | Orchestral

Ah, Fallout: Equestria, the source of many fan works past and many yet to come. I’ll avoid spoiling the inspiration behind this song, but it seems the moment from the story was particularly poignant for CainbowRrash, a new musician in the fandom. Get your fix of Fo:E inspired music for the day with this orchestral piece.

174UDSI – Keys | House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 22 October 2016.

174UDSI is pretty darn good at upbeat house stuff, and whilst a lot of his tracks sound pretty similar at times, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Here though, he’s released an amazing track that is absolutely taken to another level by the fantastic use of vocal sampling and chopping. I really like when people add an extra layer to their productions with stuff like that, and it’s definitely paid off here with what is probably my favourite track he’s released so far.

Xavi, also known as Kawaii Dash, has gotten together with Sonic Tap to release a super cute compilation album-style EP featuring Progressive Element, UndreamedPanic, Pen, KriZzZ, Totalspark and Vylet! Including future house, chillout, future bass and house, as well as some cute artwork from Cadie, it’s definitely a cool mix of music worth checking out. Vylet Pony ft. LilyCloud – Fall To The Clouds (Silva Hound Remix) | Progressive House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 21 October 2016.

Fall To The Clouds is probably still one of Vylet’s most iconic songs, and it’s had its fair share of remixes in the past from artists such as JayB and SMO3S. Here, Silva Hound joins the party with a progressive house remix that feels very Silva in style, especially that synth that comes in around 1:18. The backing vocals provided by MandoPony are a pretty nice touch, and help to add another point of difference to the remix. Definitely worth a listen if you want another remix of this track in your life!

The Shake Ups In Ponyville – Counting Magic Sheep | Acoustic

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 21 October 2016.

A pretty laid back, almost lullaby-like track, The Shake Ups in Ponyville has released another song from their album Rock Candy. With some wonderful soft and relaxing vocals, as well as some pretty nice acoustic guitar sounds, this is definitely a great track to help soothe yourself down for a bit of a nap. If that sounds like something you’d like to do, make sure to give it a listen!

[P@D] Dashtortion – Don’t Leave Me | Alt. Rock

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 20 October 2016.

Dashtortion is the collaborative duo project between StealingShad3Z and SlightlyAmiss, and this track shows that they work very well together. With the instrumental handled by Amiss, and the vocalwork done by Shad3Z for this one, they combine wonderfully to give a pretty awesome sounding track! I especially like the increasingly desperate sounding tone of the vocals, which adds a strong sense of thematic progression to the track. Certainly worth checking out!

Rusty Thorsell – Ghost from October | Pop?

It’s always rather hard to describe Rusty’s songs and his style of music. He’s more over in his corner of Sweden doing his own thing. It may be kinda hit-or-miss for some, but whether he’s using elastic bands or weird throat sounds, you can’t deny that he’s super creative with the production of his songs!

ertrii – Reminder | Chillout

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 20 October 2016.

etrii has been busy lately, and here’s another release from them! Whilst a strong statement is quickly made by the energetic percussion, the synths that come in suggest that this will be a more chilled out track. The break in percussion further establishes this, with a more atmospheric flow to the middle of the track, before the percussion comes back in with some quite nice piano too. If you like your chillout tunes a bit more frantic than normal, definitely make sure to check this out!
