Finishing off his Molten Spike arc, Jyc Row delivers us a heart-wrenching song about the aftermath of the epic fight between Molten Spike and Ember and Thorax. “Thorax’ Quietus” follows the King of the Changelings with a re-orchestration of his original UEP theme, mourning the loss of those fallen during the confrontation. It opens with a lovely duet between guitar and marimba, then violin, oboe, clarinet, flute, piano and harp are added in over the course of the song with each getting their own turn in the spotlight before blending back in to the mix.
