Rusty Thorsell – The Gallmorian Curse | Indie Pop
Rusty Thorsell brings us an interesting and somewhat ominous vocal tune about, in his own words ‘extremism and fanatacism’. The chorus of this track is pretty catchy, and easy to bob along to, regardless of the sombre tone of the song. Overall, it’s pretty well together, and something different to listen to.
Sights Unseen – I Won’t Die | Orchestral Pop
Sights Unseen has been branching out into music about things other than multi-coloured equines (5 Nights at Freddy’s and The Walking Dead, for example), but here he returns to pony with a thought-provoking track about everybody’s favourite purple protagonist, Twilight Sparkle.
Evdog & Feather – The First Step [Remastered] | Soft Rock
Evdog seems to have been remastering all of his songs recently, so go get a new version of this track featuring vocals from Feather. Expect sorrow, repentance, and Australian accents.
Throwback Thursday | AcousticBrony & MandoPony – I’ll Fly Higher | Alt. Rock
2 legends of the old fandom music days, AcousticBrony and MandoPony both started making waves in 2011. They were already two of the best-known fandom musicians…and then they collaborated to make this masterpiece. Well, okay, this is a re-recorded version which sounds much better, but the original was uploaded in December 2011 on both AcousticBrony (now making music under the alias Re:Make) and MandoPony‘s respective channels.
Despite its age, this song’s theme still holds strong today. The lyrics are sung from Scootaloo’s perspective and speak of her determination and inspiration from Rainbow Dash to be the best she can be. Whether she flies higher literally or metaphorically, Scootaloo still regards Dashie as a role model, and I hope we get to see more of that relationship develop in season 6. Until then, I’m gonna get nostalgic and listen to this song on repeat, enjoy.

FruityFusion releases a new track this time Future House. As a huge fan of this genre I can confirm that it is shuffletastic! Future Pony brings deep vibes, lovely bass and even Bass House influenced wubs!
SlightlyAmiss – Looking Back | Acoustic
SlightlyAmiss is relatively new to pony music, though a quick look at his channel shows that he’s been uploading guitar covers for a good year or two. From the early few glimpses though, he’s a welcome addition, with some pretty neat guitar playing, and promising vocals that manage to bring out emotion from the lyrics.
Segments of Life – Satellites | Trancecore
Segments of Life have been releasing a lot of pretty cool music recently. All of it seems to be centred around a common theme though – the blending of hardcore rock elements with those of electronic (generally more trance in nature). If you like the other stuff they’ve been releasing recently, you’ll probably enjoy this!
