Direct Current’s latest track is a lovely minimalist piece about the passing of time. It opens up with a slightly de-tuned piano laced with static before flourishing with DC’s iconic processed vocals accompanied by subtle bass and light orchestral stabs. And then, just as it feels like it’s getting started, it goes fleetingly back to piano and then silence, just like the sand in an hour glass on its final grains.
