After some time, we got a pretty great remix of Midnight In Me from bank pain recently, and here we have another one, this time from Brilliant Venture! Complete with a music video made up of clips from the movie, this one’s full of the heavy wubs and minor chiptune influences common to Venture’s music , and complements the vocals pretty well. What a way to start off their year! Panic has teamed up with bank pain to produce one of the coolest dubstep tracks I’ve heard in this kind of style for quite some time in the fandom. The intro and the bridge are just professional as heck with beautiful vocal chops and the drops are full of some really neat sound design. Make sure to check this out if you’re at all interested in melodic music or dubstep!

Seventh Element, one of the most prolific artists in the fandom, has released a spooky concept album called Fear Of Dark. Generally things like this are best served in one extended sitting – which is probably why he’s uploaded it all as one singular video. This is a pretty dark album, with ambient and foreboding soundscapes, however some parts include vocals, and others are a bit more uptempo. He’s also written a fanfic to go with it, if you want to go deep into the meaning of the album, as both the story and the album are meant to compliment each other. Make sure to check the video of the album out below if this sounds like something for you – it’s high quality stuff!

A rather different style of cover now – something which might be a bit hit or miss but still probably worth sharing. The latest release on A Little Bit for Charity’s YouTube channel, this cover of The Magic Inside has a rather unique vocal style, with very gentle accompanying instruments and almost a Christmas music vibe to it, since it’s filled with lots of percussive bells. Check it out if that sounds like your kind of thing.
Red Dwarf fans, rejoice! Admittedly, I’ve never seen Red Dward so I didn’t get the joke, but still, it’s a deliberately fun little song that may or may not bring trigger memories of cheap amusement parks…
Not long after their recent Christmasy song, Royalpony is back again with a remix of At The Gala in celebration of the new year. Expect his usual style, go check it out if you like to kickstart your day with an 00nt5.

It’s that time again. The upcoming Ponies At Dawn album, Amity, is due to be released next Friday 13th January. And so we’re having some special pre-releases on Cider Party to give you an idea of some of the stuff on the album. This installment is a much more collaborative work – every track on Amity is either a collaboration or a remix (hence the name) – and to show that we’ve got DJT and EPT’s track Sugar Shy. While none of us can agree on the genre, we agree that it’s a great track, and the art is fitting and super cute.
We’ll have more info on pre-ordering the album and the livestream party in a couple of days. Keep an eye out for that!

Kadenza’s most recent pony hit Zen was an awesome fusion of his signature melodic style with orchestral elements, but here EM120X has turned it into an unashamedly dance-y banger. With a strong bassline and nice lead synths, this is a groovy remix and it only gets better towards the end where there’s an awesome change up and a vocal melody joins in to add some extra joy.

Another pretty awesome electro house track here! Here we have an upbeat remix of You’ll Play Your Part from NeverLastStanding, featuring his trademark electro synths and some cool distorted plucks in the intro. It’s a pretty strong remix of one of my favourite tracks from the show.
You’d be forgiven if you’ve not heard of Equicity – over 2 years ago after publishing 9 songs, the promotion channel closed its doors, its owners heading down slightly different paths in the fandom. But with a recent growth in the quality and quantity of drum & bass producers making a name for themselves in the fandom, it has been reborn under new management.
And to kickstart the return of the channel, Equicity presents Tea Leaves by bank pain. Although perhaps better known for some of his hard-hitting tracks, bank pain takes on the liquid flavour of dnb here, with crisp and clean yet perfectly flowing drum loops and smooth basses.
