TCB – Keys & Cuts EP | Electronic

Hearing a new song from TCB is fantastic enough, but having an entire EP is quite the treat. I didn’t really know what to expect going into it, but it really has a perfect variety of songs that all contain really unique vocal chops! I love the fact that there are vocal chops of characters you don’t hear vocal chops of often in here, really makes each song iconic! Read more about it after the break.

Emnity, is a song that has really beautiful chords overall that just make the song. It then has some discord vocal chops that blend well with the song to a melodic dubstep with top-notch sound design.

Aberrant includes some really solemn chords also in the beginning with some innovative Cheese Sandwich vocal chops. This almost has the same feeling as Emnity, but it has a kind of future bass twist to it, which I love a lot! ❤ It’s also a powerful & emotional song overall with clean & fitting sound design.

Crafty has to be one of my favorites from the EP, it contains vocals from “Trick’s Up My Sleeve,” but then strays from your usual remix to its own kind of song. The piano chords themselve are reallllly smooth & I love when TCB utilizes piano elements. The drop has an incredibly deep vibe to it that creates the sort of mood & swing of the track. The song never loses energy & I love how it goes from a deep & smooth song to a more electro based one with fantastic percussion & transitiong with a great melody, while also still containing the vocals ❤ Vocal chops are iconic in here too!!!

Integrity, last but not least is also one of my favorites. The piano in the intro almost embodies a movie trailer-esque feeling & is perfect to end off the EP with a more dramatic & impactful impression. The first time you hear it the drop leaves you awe-struck. TCB definitely has nailed it with this one & creating the most emotional & powerful melodic dubstep in this song. Overall, is a fantastic EP & is worth listening to start to finish!
