This song was crafted in two hours. Would you believe it? Regardless, this song stands up as a powerful orchestral piece in spite of how long it took, showcasing an unforgettable melody performed by strong orchestral strings, choirs and drums. The song even slows down towards the end with a key change which only further strengthens the powerful feeling it gives off. Click here to see Jyc Row make the song in action!

[ETC] PeKaNo – The Castle Grows | Tribecore
COREQUESTRIA‘s 20th track is quite possibly the album’s softest track, The Castle Grows! This is PeKaNo’s second attempt at tribecore (a form of free tekno), and a good one at that. This song has a fast-paced drum line and an uplifting synth melody, with a magical feeling permeating throughout the whole track thanks to the arpeggiated synth. Can’t get enough of this chill vibe!
Stallionslaughter – Tender Horn Does Glow (Chevelle Parody) | Alternative Metal
A love letter to Chrysalis in the form of a parody of Chevelle’s Send the Pain Below, Tender Horn Does Glow sees Stallionslaughter sing his appreciation for the queen of the hive and… oviposition? Oh my. He even goes harder vocally than the original during the bridge, even adding a few extra screams towards the end! Feels good to have him back.
InfinityDash -Pony Life Zone (16-Bit Sega Genesis-Style Theme Song Remix) | Chiptune
After almost 5 years of no updates, InfinityDash returns with a 16-bit style remix of the recently unveiled Pony Life theme! It uses the soundfont from the Sega Genesis which makes it feel like a track lifted from a Sonic or other platformer game from the 90s, and captures that mood with flying colours. Will we see more from Infinity? I sure hope so.
Radial Rainbow – Insight | Metalcore
After a nearly 3 year hiatus, Russian metal band Radial Rainbow returns with a new song! Insight interpolates Open Up Your Eyes from the MLP movie and turns it into an epic and unique metalcore piece! The familiar vocal hook is played by a flute and the music is filled with heavy guitar riffs and even some keyboard sounds! Some of the finest metal production in the fandom to date.
Raven Horn – Chitin Nightmares | Chillwave
Raven Horn’s latest track sees a trip inside Cadence’s mind after escaping from Chrysalis’ evil clutches. Chitin Nightmares is a unique blend of chilled out synthwave and orchestral music, full of spacey and distorted electronic goodness laden with all kinds of crazy effects alongside samples of Chrysalis’ voice. Creepy yet beautiful!
TheMusicReborn – A Fair Cleric’s Waltz | Orchestral
Rarity’s regality has been matched with this little tune from TheMusicReborn. The lyrics describe her to a T, featuring a plethora of words that rhyme with Rarity even. The pace of the music is a satisfying orchestral waltz which makes it great to dance to. I bet Rarity herself would love to dance to this graceful track with those catchy harp riffs and percussive rhythms keeping everything in time!
[ETC] Enuna – PARANOIA | Speedcore
From the first volume of COREQUESTRIA comes PARANOIA, the second of three tracks from Enuna. This track starts off with an ominous and distorted intro absolutely laden with effects and samples before turning things up to 11. The noise features crushing bass drums and blazing fast drum loops while the bass carries the song alongside some bell samples. Even with the heavy nature of the song, we’re treated to something special in the form of a distorted piano loop that plays by itself before being joined by all the other instruments and samples. Can you say chaotic? I know I can.
MelodyBrony & Luck Rock – Fluttershy (feat. Koa) (Covering Forest Rain) | Hard Rock
Forest Rain’s 2014 banger Fluttershy returns with a cover by MelodyBrony and Luck Rock with Koa joining the two on lead vocals! Bringing a hard edge to the original, this cover stays faithful, and everyone brings their A game to the table. Koa’s vocals are full of conviction and the production fits her voice well. The acoustic guitar in front of the distortion keeps everything grounded, yet still flying high. Well done, everypony!
[The Rest of Our Lives] Le Soldat Pony – Reunion [Artemis Epilogue] :: Coming Out | Progressive Pop
The 12th track on The Rest of Our Lives is Reunion, the first brand new track from Le Soldat Pony in 5 years. Reunion is a unique piece and also stands as the album’s longest track, clocking in at 12 minutes long. It opens up with a minute long intro with glitchy beepy synths before adding a reverberant beat with 80s-inspired synth lines. Soldat’s voice is ethereal and haunting yet perfectly fitting for this kind of music. Halfway in, the song completely changes course, leaving us with some faint ambient background noise before a raw recording of an acoustic guitar fades in. This, combined with him singing sounds truly beautiful and haunting. As much as I’d love to see him return fully, it’s unlikely that he ever will, so let us cherish this moment while we still have it. Either way, it’s definitely a big highlight from the album!
