An ominous threat looms.
Single Purpose has remixed Tripon’s ‘Titan’ and has heated things up quite a lot. The drums roll the beat extremely well and the complex neuro basslines are on point. Single Purpose has built a very ominous atmosphere with this and even the breakdowns don’t let up and keep you on edge with the sounds and tension. This one truly is a special one, and you better not sleep on it!

[Equinity] Jalmaan – Alive | Progressive House
A very upbeat and cheerful song by Jalmaan, ‘Alive’ ties in perfectly to the end goal of Equinity 01: Stellar, and that is to raise money for suicide prevention.
Opening with a catchy and punchy melody and bassline and the song’s energy quickly builds into a very danceable and energetic song! During the breakdown and bridge the atmosphere opens up with a hopeful mood and a clockwork vibe from the arpeggio and I like to think of that alluding to things getting better with time. This one conveys itself spectacularly and is a very welcoming choice for those looking for a more traditional house song influenced by the likes of Archie or Avicii.
[P@D] MEQA & Arturo Höst – Amniomorphic Spell | Neurohop / IDM
Hot off the press from Ponies at Dawn: Skyward, we have been gifted with a mesmerizing piece. Opening with a very chill and laid back mood with subtle intricacies and an excellent sound stage there is an air of regal intelligence that is buttery smooth and by contrast the switchup in the song’s climax to Neurohop is down surprisingly well and hits home very hard and heavy while still blending in the atmospheric vibes of the rest of song. Excellent job MEQA and Arturo! Definitely a highlight of the album in my eyes!
The Experimental Bronies & noise.horse – Out of Limit 4: The Philosophy of Time | Compilation Album | Experimental
The Experimental Bronies have once again teamed up with noise.horse to release their fourth entry in the Out of Limit project! There is plenty of interesting and unique tunes by several artists in this one ranging from more ambient and mysterious tracks to dark and filthy tracks as well as some good ol’ hardcore tracks. Viricide Filly’s track, Seconds Into Centuries, I Let My Hair Grow was one of my favourites and I go more in detail with it in the above post, however there are many other cool gems such as Smallish Season by Detra x Danger, which is a very intriguing and groovy twist on lo-fi and hip hop-esque music while Tripon’s Cascade is a very energetic and complex neurofunk style track with their signature style with some complex sampling and abstract design decisions that make for a refreshing listen. All in all if you’re tired of hearing the ‘same old, same old’ and looking for something odd and refreshing, noise.horse has just what you are looking for!
Daniel Ingram – Lotta Little Things (Toby Macarony Remix) | Electro / Ragtime
Only a day had passed from the airing of this episode before Toby came in with a very sweet and fun take on its song! This time with a swingy, ragtime vibe coupled with very punchy and groovy percussion. This remix does a lotta little things; so-to-speak to really bring out a new vibe on an already great track and is refreshing to have a little pizzazz and flare shine through even more!
Nyancat380 – Rappin’ | Moombahcore
Now this is a fun one! This is a remix of The Wonderbolts Rap that took me by surprise! A genre I haven’t heard much in recent years, its veeery refreshing to here some straight, and solid Moombahcore. Nyancat has done a very good job here capturing the groove of the original while adding some intense flare with some complex vocal splices and fun gritty basslines. This will be a treat for many and I’m looking forward to see what else they have in store!
Rusty – Always be there | Indie Pop
Rusty has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. They have such a notable vibe and style to all of their releases and ‘Always be there’ is definitely another example. A happy upbeat tune with a simpler yet lovely sound; This one is actually about solving problems. More specifically about unhappiness and hope. Rusty’s vocals are on point as always and there are always some fun little quips to look forward to with their storytelling.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 9 Trailer Theme (Lorris Edit) | Orchestral
It definitely has been a ride, huh? Who would have thought how far we would have gone ten years ago? What started as a joke on a forum board has blossomed into something truly magical and the raw talent, creativity, and quality that came with it will never be replaced. The trailer to the final season for My Little Pony Friendship is Magic had a heart wrenching rendition of the main theme of the show which Lorris has decided to take a step further with an Orchestral edit to flesh out that emotion and help envision our trip down memory lane. I absolutely love what he did here and this will truly take you back to where it all began!
[Out Of Limit 4] Viricide Filly – Seconds Into Centuries, I Let My Hair Grow | Downtempo / Experimental
From noise.horse’s hottest compilation to date, Viricide has submitted their prowess for plucky, glitchy ambiances with this track. This one is not for the weak of heart! Soothing, yet harsh; loose, yet constricted. The passage of time is a complex one and this track is full of little intricacies and design choices that really showcase what noise.horse is all about! Don’t forget to check out the rest of Out of Limit 4: The Philosophy of Time for more abstract and interesting songs, trust me, its really worth the time!
Ardhy Mahardhy – Ponk | Future Bass
This is a new face I haven’t seen before and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised! I really like the chilled out melody that is played throughout both in the drops and the separate verses. The whole song may not be as grandiose as some future bass tracks I’ve heard but there is a charm to this more laid back song. It takes me back to the olden days of the fandom and the myriad of Pinkie Pie samples further hit home that feeling. Awesome work Ardhy!
