You Rock is another example of the talent this fandom has, bringing heavy and powerful sound design with amazing rhythm and creativity. A part of the newly released ASoS album, Waffle, it expands the variety of music in it and confirms even more that the album is definitely worth the listen. A slow start with very a serious and cyber punk style shows this song doesn’t mess around. Going into the drop it ups the tention, which transitions to a pure enjoyment and headshaking that wasn’t heard in a while. And in the Waffle style, it makes a transition to a completely different genre, and you guessed it, it’s psytrance. Energetic, and strong bass is present that again, switches back to the first drop. The song is one of the prime examples that shows the quality of both producers and the quality of the album. That’s GrazySmash and Ponycutz.
One track to talk about and a million words aren’t enough. As a part of a charity album Brony Forever organised by Bronies for Kindness , it definitely adds quality to the album. The amazing sound design and the progression of the track makes it a style that we all know and love. It shows through it’s dark and powerful synths that it is okay to feel sad that BronyCon ended, but it says even more. Even though BronyCon is no more, we should be happy that it brought us so much joy, excitement and that it brought the whole fandom even closer as a whole. The atmosphere of the track that goes from calm to dark and then building on it with a very emotional melody shows the process of losing something or someone. I said one track to talk about and a million words aren’t enough, well, maybe 3 are. One Track Mind.
Second Prances is already a great work of art, receiving some vocal love from a wonderful singer Nicole Carino. Her powerful voice makes the ability to really speak for herself and what she wants to achieve. Lorris, a French producer with an extreme amount of talent, decided to give it a go. The track obviously portrayed the same story, but with a different spin on it. Synthwave was always a happy place for me and Lorris continues to make that statement true. The cassette being played at the beginning speaks of a new beginning for someone who wishes for a second chance. Atmosphere of the track is unique and it manages to be very calming but still alive, now but yet … happy. The end of the song is very nostalgic, reminiscing of the past that made you who you are, and the things that will come. An emotionally impacful experience and a wonderful piece of music that is definitely replay worthy. Oh! And let’s not forget the man who made it possible, Etherium Apex, go give him some love, he definitely deserves it!
