UndreamedPanic – Raiders | Retrowave

An extremely talented and versatile musician, UndreamedPanic graces us with a powerful, action-induced track, reminiscent of the Fallout Equestria setting! The beat of the track is somewhat relaxed compared to the urgent, danger-imposing feel of the pulsating synth as well as the harsh saws and bass. The instrumentation gives the track a very 80s movie style, and you can really get a sense of the fierce drama taking place with the Raiders! Originally planned to be a part of an album that was scrapped, we should all be thankful that we still get to hear this excellent track!

TCB – Skyline (feat. Pinkie Pie) (Drixale Remix) | Chillout

Borrowing from the catchy vocal chops TCB put together in the original, Drixale gives a cool, big-space feel to Pinkie’s voice. This remix starts out pretty chill, then about halfway through picks up into a faster, trap-style mix. The vocal chops are dangerously catchy and the varying drum beats are all fun and easy to groove along to!

Acouste Wholenote – Lesson | Acoustic

In a surprise release we should all be excited for, Acouste Wholenote returns with a great tribute to everypony’s favorite grade school teacher, Cheerilee! Played using excellent guitar work and impassioned vocals, Acouste demonstrates the personal issues of the pink educator and her plea for her students better understand the lessons she is only just now learning herself. Lesson is a wholesome track that leaves out a lot of processing and fancy mixing schematics, allowing for a more honest, raw sound to resonate the earnest message.

Ever Again – Crusader! | Acoustic

Crusader! has written a few heart-melting love tracks in his day, and this one is right up there in sentimentality! Ever Again touches on Big Mac’s visits to Starlight’s village to see Sugar Belle, setting the tone with just acoustic guitar and vocals to start the track. Crusader! adds in piano, drums, and bass, emphasizing the traveling theme of Big Mac persistently going to see his crush. The lyrics are great as well, drawing the title from the notion that Big Mac doesn’t want to be without Sugar Belle Ever Again.

Toby Macarony – Drifting off to Sleep | Electro Swing

Toby Macarony always delivers something entirely unique, and this spooky groove is in a league all of its own! The upbeat swing-style mixed with nightmarish Sweetie Belle chops makes for an exhilarating sound. There is a break in the middle that shifts to a slower, half-tempo that really drives home the terror in the track. Drifting off to Sleep has a wide appeal for anyone who enjoys electro house, electro swing, or just scary-themed music, but be warned: the imagery is a bit dark as well!

4everfreebrony has teamed up with quite an array of talent to bring us a narrative song so good that you would think it came right out of the show! Milkymomo, EileMonty, and MemJ0123 take the roles of Twilight, Luna, and Celestia and try to solve the issue of getting the sun to rise after Celestia refuses to get out of bed. Very lighthearted in style and tone, Who Knows bounces to a soft, tambourine beat carried by a high synth and the singers’ jovial attitude.

Brownie – Smile (Pinkie Pie Smile Metal Cover) | Metal

Brownie has an incredible talent for metalcore composition, and this cover of the Smile Song is a great example of his range. Starting out in more of a pop-punk style to match the lightness of the original song, Brownie transitions into metal while playing impressively technical guitar riffs over fast, moving drums. The track features a fantastic metalcore breakdown before bringing all of the styles together for the big finish. Brownie went all out to even make a music video featuring his many play-styles with great effects and humorous scenes.
