Ataraxia – In Between | Chillout

One of the masterminds behind the Opalescence project, Ataraxia got to submit something himself for the album. The result is this ethereal chill piece that centres around a lovely piano performance with a bunch of subtle synths and sound effects that add nicely to this song.

Luna Jax – Forgive Me | Acoustic

We can always trust Luna Jax for some top-notch acoustic and soft rock songs, and this stripped-back piece brings some lovely raw percussion and acoustic guitar, with a bass to fill the lower end a lovely little electric solo. It’s also based on one of my favourite episodes of Season 5 – Jax is just ticking all the boxes for me over here!

PON3 – Redacted | Dubstep

More Opalescence music, less uniform cover art, some explicit language. PON3 brings us a short yet snappy piece featuring some vocal sampling of Nowacking (of course). It’s that sort of 128bpm dubstep that I don’t know how to describe so go check it to help combat my lack of descriptive wording!

Forest Rain – Tonight | Alt. Rock

Now this was a pleasant surprise to find in my subscriptions! The original by Synthis and PegasYs is a full-out melodic dubstep song, so seeing it transposed to a guitar based song must have been an interesting feat. Nevertheless, Forest Rain delivers as usual, go check it out!

Otarine – Loyalty | Future

Another Opalescence track (they just keep on coming!), we have another case of a revamped older project. I think it’s great that we get to hear all these ‘recovered’ songs, there’s so much good music we would have missed otherwise! Check it out above for brokem beats and supersaws.

LeWuut – From the Stars | Progressive House

LeWuut is a (mostly) house producer who- wait, this guy still has less than 100 subscribers? This guy deserves some more love, go share this with your friends who like prog house! Anyway, have an uplifting house track for the Mane 6.

Francis Vace – Fireworks | Ska

The closing song (and one of my favourites) from his album Lost in a Pastel Hue, this song also features on OpalescenceI have to admit, I didn’t realise the meaning behind the lyrics until this video was released. Just goes to show effective subtlety is when writing music about colourful pastel horses.
