Well this is interesting! Mr A.M. takes on Paloris’ tropical house and turns it into a weird and wonderful hybrid kinda future bass, bringing in a little bit of inspiration from the original genre and some nifty growls to compliment and contrast the H U G E saws!

[P@D] Jyc Row & Felicia Farerre – Night Queen | Epic Orchestral
It wouldn’t be a Ponies At Dawn album if Jyc Row didn’t shoot for the stars and blow everyone away in the process. Acting as a counterpart to their previous collab, Sun of the Night, this song explores the worshippers of Nightmare Moon in the alternate universe the songs are set in. Jyc’s orchestration and Felicia’s performance are both simply incredible, I don’t know what else to say about it!
Get this song and a bunch of other pretty awesome tracks on Ponies At Dawn – Rebirth.
4everfreebrony – Celestia (Reptilia ponified) | Alt Rock
Ponified The Strokes? Ponified The Strokes! The thing that impresses me the most about this is how closely it resembles the original Reptilia. From the guitar tone to the vocal performance (and the touch of overdrive), it just FEELS like a Strokes song! And of course 4everfree’s talent for lyrics shines through in this song, and how he manages to bring the story behind to life in a new light.
AlicornAcension – Blue (ft. 4everfreebrony) | Jazz
The bar. It just got raised. This song alone is already incredible, but the fact that it’s AlicornAcension’s debut release? I don’t know how they managed to hide away all this time! Getting some new lounge / jazz in the fandom is also a huge plus; songs of this kind are so few and far between, but if time is the key to making something sounds as good as this, I’m happy to wait so it’s worth it. Welcome AlicornAcension, I’m really looking forward to more music from you!
Inkwel – Magical Insanity | Future Bass
Inkwel’s just getting better and better at making fun and interesting little future bass tracks that incorporate chiptune elements. This one has some great melodies and very cleanly mixed sounds that all fit together nicely, and there might be more to come in the form of an EP soon. Subscribe to Inkwel for more deets on that!
Ponies At Dawn – Rebirth | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

Listening to the live album release stream for Rebirth, the thing that strikes me most is how brony musicians are always able to make such diverse songs, and to such a high level of production. From the (admittedly majority) range of electronic styles to the big rock and metal songs, to a full range of acoustic and orchestral tracks, there are constant surprises in store.
We’ll be featuring plenty of songs from the album as they’re released on YouTube by the respective artists or the P@D YouTube channel over the coming weeks. Until then, the album is available to download for any given price on Ponies At Dawn’s bandcamp page.
Modern Bard – The Future Of Equestria V | Electronic
Part 5 of Modern Bard’s vintage electronica EP takes a turn towards 70s synthpop with a little hint of breakbeat style drum programming in there. Super mellow pads and bass sounds give this an ethereal, chill vibe too. There’s still more to come apparently, hopefully with a download link soon!
P@D – Rebirth: Album release party schedule!

As previously mentioned, the Ponies At Dawn – Rebirth album release party is Friday 2nd March (tomorrow!11!!), so here’s an update with the complete list of DJ sets for the event and the time of the album release itself. We’ll have another reminder just before it starts, see you then!
Strigidae – Time To Be Awesome (covering Daniel Ingram) | Pop
Strigi’s voice has always stood out – he’s a pretty unique vocalist and it’s always nice to hear his songs, whether original pieces or covers of show songs like this one. He’s definitely improved his singing too, he’s really able to project properly in many parts of this song.
I really should see that movie at some point too…
