Vylet & VooDoo – TEMPEST (ft. Namii) | Dubstep
(Mild MLP Movie spoilers, nothing more than what the trailers show)
This brand new track from Vylet, VooDoo, and Namii (formerly Cadie) took 3 months to make, and boy does the effort put into it show! Namii’s vocals near the start help shift the song from a melodic moment of calm into the buildup for the drop. And the drop itself – for me the sound design really hits a sweet spot between the regular growls and bass sounds familiar to this genre and the more experimental sounds that Vylet often incorporates into his music. Go check out the song for MLP movie hype!
Also, please consider taking a moment of silence for Fishman, may he drop in peace.
[P@D] John Kenza – Love (feat. 4everfreebrony) | Future Bass
Album opener? Album opener! One of the best things about the Ponies At Dawn albums is that they continue to bring about collaborations that I never would have expected otherwise. This is definitely one of those cases, and it works so well too, and I don’t think I would have even recognised 4everfree’s voice if it wasn’t mentioned – he sounds so different! Go take a listen for a great upbeat start to Anthology.
Ponies At Dawn – Anthology | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre
It’s been a big year for Ponies At Dawn; January saw an ambitious project of an album composed entire of collabs, covers and remixes; June marked the release of Guardians, the biggest main album to date; now they’re back with something special.
Anthology isn’t like any of the other albums. The first half of the album is a collection of brand new tracks from P@D favourites such as DJT, UndreamedPanic, Silver Note, Frozen Night, Exiark and many more! The second half brings some of the best songs from all the past albums released by the collective, as chosen by the staff who put the albums together.
But that’s not all. Something that’s been requested for a long time by fans of the P@D albums is a physical release. Well merch fanatics, your wish has been granted!

This limited edition 3CD release features half of the new tracks (they couldn’t fit it all in!) on one disc and all the of the “golden oldies” on the other two. If you’re as big a fan of Ponies At Dawn as I am, don’t pass up the chance to get your hands on one of these!
Anthology is available to download for free on the Ponies At Dawn bandcamp page, and the CDs are available to purchase for $20, and are due to be shipped in early November.
The Ponies At Dawn: Anthology livestream is starting now!

The new Ponies At Dawn album will be released on their Bandcamp page later tonight, but to hear it first, tune in to the broadcast on PonyvilleFM, as a special episode of Lycan Dese Beats.
Listen in and join the chat at ponyvillefm.com/chat or hop into their Discord server. Alternatively, there’s a dance party going on in Legends of Equestria at Sugarcube Sugarcane Corner if that’s more your kind of scene!
[P@D] iblank2apples – Give Me Wings | Electro House
The last of the P@D pre-releases on Cider Party in anticipation for the new album Anthology (release party is TONIGHT!) comes from iblank2apples, the electro horse himself. As mentioned in the video description, this song pays tribute to Hurricane Fluttershy and mirrors her character in the episode. Starting off calm and atmospheric, it builds into a steady beat, calms down again, but really pumps things up for the second drop – and it completely changes the feel of the song! You gotta check it out for yourself!
The Anthology album premiere starts in 2 hours on PonyvilleFM; we’ll have another reminder as it’s set to begin and we hope to see you there!
Ponytronic – Times Like These (The Remixes) EP | Electronic
If I remember correctly, Ponytronic gained an affinity earlier this year for a certain couple of music ponies after reading a well-known fanfiction about them. Shortly afterwards, his song Times Like These was released – a smooth liquid dnb piece about the duo, perhaps one of his best songs to date. Now after a couple of months of an open contest, he’s proud to present the Times Like These Remixes EP!
Featuring a variety of genres, from more dnb reworks to a hip-hop remix and even a couple of really left-of-field genres, this EP has both some regular names to the brony music community and some people just breaking out into the scene. It’s also seemingly a chance for some artist to break out into new genres – I’ve never heard Metapony do Drum & Bass or UndreamedPanic do hip-hop before! Definitely give this EP a listen, you might just find a new artist or style that you’d be interested in.
Times Like These (The Remixes) EP is available to download for free on Ponytronic’s bandcamp.
PS: The music box rendition at the end is a super cute addition to the album :3
Ponies At Dawn: Anthology – Album Release Party 29th September!

Normally I would say something like ‘it’s that time of year again’, but this is something special. The upcoming Ponies At Dawn album – Anthology – has something different about it.
But first the details on the release party! While there will be DJs playing from 5 PM – 5 AM UTC (1 PM – 1AM EDT) to celebrate the occassion, the livestream for the album itself starts at 10 PM UTC / 6 PM EDT on Friday 29th September. As soon as the album is released, it will be available to download for any given price (including for free!) from the Ponies At Dawn bandcamp page. If you do wish to contribute, all the money goes to the artists featured. There’s also an option to pre-order the album for $1 or more at the moment.
Like I said earlier, there’s something special about this album though. Half of the album consists of brand new tracks, and the other is a collection of some of the best songs released on the Ponies At Dawn compilation albums over the past few years. AND if that’s not enough, you can also purchase this album on CD! The limited edition comes with full artwork in a 6-panel case with 3 CDs (albeit sacrificing some of the newer tracks in order to make the physical version possible). You can find out more about it and pre-order them (due to be shipped November 1st) on the bandcamp page for Anthology.
And if nothing else, for now you can hear a preview of all the tracks from the album in a video on the Ponies At Dawn YouTube channel. We hope to see you at the release party!
Horse Music Hotspot – September 2017

We’re back again! This month’s episode features not only a very eclectic mix of new and older artists to the fandom, but an (in my opinion) exceptionally strong orchestral game. Settle in for an hour-long selection of some of our faves of September, including a couple from a certain upcoming Ponies At Dawn album!
To listen in live, tune in to Ponyville FM at 5PM Eastern on the last Sunday of each month!
Tracklist and embeds available after the break
[P@D] 4everfreebrony – Silhouette (feat. Black Gryph0n) | Pop Rock
Did someone say big collab time? Even though my tastes primarily lie in electronic and alt rock, this kind of guitar-based pop stuff is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I’m particularly loving the little legato synths that fill in some of the background of the song. And it represents a great blend of both 4everfree and Black Gryph0n’s ‘signature’ styles of music too!
This is another pre-release from the upcoming Ponies At Dawn album, Anthology – we’ll bring more details soon but for keep your diary free next Friday (29th) for the release party!
