Ponies At Dawn – Amity | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre

In a break from the usual pattern of albums released by Ponies At Dawn, this time round their latest release, Amity, contains exclusively collaborations and remixes of past P@D songs. As always, it contains a huge variety of songs, from artists both old and new across the fandom, all joined under one banner as part of a collective.

The album is available to download on Bandcamp for free, or any given donation price. You can also be sure to see the tracks on this album posted here on the site over the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned for our writeups on individual tracks!

The Ponies At Dawn: Amity album premiere starts now!

We’re going to be over at PonyvilleFM for the next few hours to tune in to a special episode of Lycan Dese Beats, which will showcase the new Ponies At Dawn album, Amity, in its entirety.

You can tune into the show and join the chat by clicking here!

And if you’re not able to tune in live, don’t worry, we’ll have some more posts scheduled during the stream, and a post about the album once it’s released too.

DJ RedSky – Vintage Diamonds | Indie Dance

I really don’t know if Indie Dance fits this or not, but it seems like an appropriate description for this kind of sound that DJRS is going for. With retro sounding synths and some great drums fills to fit with them too, this is a really chill piece filled with subtle elements that all do their own thing, but still bring it together as a whole track.

Celestial Throne – City Lights | Ambient

Considering they ‘specialise’ in metal, I was not expecting to see an ambient track from Celestial Throne. From what I gather, it was used as part of an “animatic” / storyboard with some, uh, dark themes (check the video description for that at your own discretion), but stands alone nicely as its own piece.

[P@D] Dashtortion – Don’t Leave Me (bank pain & Intersekt Remix) | Drum & Bass

The last of the P@D: Amity pre-releases on Cider Party before the album release sees 2 (typically) dnb producers team up to remix an alt. rock collab from the last P@D album, Voyager. bank pain and Intesek’t skills combined ensure a dnb track with all-round great sound design, drum programming, and melodic elements. And sampling guitars from the original adds another interesting layer to the soundscape.

Be sure to join us tomorrow at 3pm EST on PonyvilleFM to listen to Lycan Dese Beats present the album in its entirety and celebrate both Ponies At Dawn’s 10th album and PonyvilleFM’s 6th anniversary of broadcasting! Follow all of us (HMH, P@D, LDB, PVFM) on Twitter too to see reminders about the event.

Rusty Thorsell – The Strangers With The Windy Flutes | …

This may or may not be your cup of tea, but we’ll post it anyway. Rusty’s been getting creative again – now making sounds out of…well, quite literally nothing. Take a look at the description if you want to learn a bit more about how he made this track, otherwise enjoy this metallic-sounding…thing. I have no idea what genre this is.

Haardtek – Memories | Trance

Now there’s a name I haven’t seen in a while! Haardtek is back, being repped on A State of Sugar with his new song Memories. While the track is trance throughout the most part of its 8 minute duration, there’s a nice little garage-beat-style breakdown in there that creates a nice variation. Definitely one to check out for classic trance fans!

Ponies At Dawn: Amity – Album Release Party 13th January!

c14a-4sukaafkcf

After what feels like a very short time since their last album, Ponies At Dawn are releasing their 10th album this Friday, 13th January. Entitled Amity, this album is similar to another project they carried out a couple of years ago, in that it consists entirely of remixes and collaborations! From regulars such as DJTReverbrony, and UndreamedPanic, to [relative] newcomers to the collective like bank painSky Runner, and A Symphony of Two, this album is shaping up to encompass more artists than ever before on a P@D album.

To celebrate the release of the album, PonyvilleFM will be hosting a Live Release Party starting at 17:00 UTC / 12:00 EDT this Friday the 7th of October leading up to the album’s live play. Then, at 20:00 UTC / 15:00 EDT, the Ponies at Dawn album – Amity – will be played LIVE and in FULL, hosted by PonyvilleFM’s very own variety radio show, Lycan Dese Beats.

Immediately following the album’s release, Amity will be available from the Ponies at Dawn bandcamp for whatever price you’d like to pay (including $0). However, if you are so excited and just can’t wait, it is available as a pre-order right now starting from just $1. As with last time, all the money made by the album from donations on BandCamp will go towards the artists as thanks for the hard work put in to get on.

ForeverFreest – I Don’t Complain (covering Luna Jax) | Acoustic

Continuing the chill train from earlier, here’s a nice little acoustic cover of Luna Jax’s hit I Don’t Complain. Lovely soft piano and drums accompany an acoustic guitar and Freest’s great voice in this wonderfully stripped-back piece, a pleasure to listen to!

Mane In Green – Morning Walk | Chillout

Start off the day with this appropriately titled track from Mane In Green. It starts off with some nice ambient pads and bell sounds, before a somewhat eclectic drumkit kicks in with a soft, half-time beat. And the twist of orchestral instruments in a mostly electronic track do this some wonders too!
