Reverbrony – Echoes of the Abyss | Metal
Shoo be doo? Reverbrony’s latest song has a lot of atmospheric elements to give a the haunting feel of isolation beneath the ocean. Also Lyra as a seapony with swordfish-style armour. You can’t go wrong with that!
fractilx & Kyu♥ – Zephyr★Breeze | Trance
Trance! Something we see far too infrequently here at the herald. Here fractilx and Kyu♥ take their(?) usual hardcore spin on trance music in a song about Fluttershy’s brother, presumably based on the previews since it was released before the episode this morning.
GeekBrony – Flurry Heart | Dubstep
The other songs we’ve featured about Flurry Heart have been either happy and uplifting or rather calm, this one takes a…um…slightly different approach. In this track, Geekbrony seems to know his way around Serum and has some nice use of voice samples too.
SoGreatAndPowerful – On my Own (Sound Bandit Remix) | House
While we all sit and hope for the return of SoGreatAndPowerful (praise be to him, our elusive musical overlord), it’s great to hear some remixes of his music. Check out Sound Bandit’s spin on the Applejack-based song On My Own.
New Reverian – Magenta & Nimbus | Drum & Bass

Quicksilver – Six and One | Album | Rock
Known for his hard-rock tracks and as one half of the ska-punk project Luna Ticks, Quicksilver is one of the best up-and-coming rock musicians in the fandom right now, and he’s just released his debut album, Six and One! The Shake Ups have another song from their album ROCK CANDY for us. Known for their fun “power pop” songs, this one is no exception, and attempts to tackle the age old question of “cupcake or muffin?” I say, why not both?!

Something new from the A Little Bit For Charity project, where indie bands cover mlp songs for charity. This time it’s a cover of Our Town by a band called The Pieces. It’s got an…interesting vocal style, it’s something a little bit different, shall we say?
Zetzl – A song about beauty | Chillout
Have some chillout music from Ponytronic’s griffon-based Alias, Zetzl. This song has some lovely electronic drums, and a style the likes of which I rarely hear nowadays. So sit back, and take in this chillout piece to end the day.
