Off the Everfree EP, Francis Vace’s cover of the closing song from Legend of Everfree pays much tribute to the Rainbooms’ live performance of the song, in the unique musical style that we love to hear from the talented Ska-Punk musician. Not lacking of enjoyable Ska vibes in some of the vocal parts, the cover also lays out powerful guitar play as we rediscover the Rainbooms’ latest record in newfound rock spirit.
Let’s Eat Hay! – Once Upon A Time | House
Everypony give a warm welcome to Let’s Eat Hay whose first release is a wonderful story-driven track going back to the roots and revolving around the backstory that moved us all back in the S1 premiere. Wonderfully laying out the plot by sampling both the S1 and the S4 premieres, the track conducts an amazing tribute to the show and to the story and the princesses with a dynamic instrumental reacting to the mood of the events that unfold, and with impressive and inspired vocal work. Definitely a massive success, and a powerful fan work shining bright with the power of passion and the light of both the sun and the moon!
A Symphony Of Two – Magnificence | Orchestral
A piece that is both gentle and epic, Magnificence feels like an waltz at the Grand Galloping Gala, or more like an awed waltz ambling around Equestria’s beautiful and lush sceneries, with the most epic instrumental part reflecting much adventurous spirit. A wonderful release from duo A Symphony Of Two!
Hay Tea – Downtime | Hip-Hop
To reflect the current Downtime before S7 while we still can, Hay Tea made a tasteful Hip-Hop instrumental piece of much serenity and jazzy vibes. The famous melancholia that is due to the absence of ponies and that will soon fade is represented well here along the sax melodies that seem like they are being played on a window pane in a rainy night in the city, and it is with much musical bliss that the whole track lays out and embodies Hay Tea’s talent at creating such laid-back beautiful pieces.
The L-Train – Orchard Of Truth (feat. Stallionslaughter) | Progressive Death Metal
Applejack and the Flim Flam brothers face off in this progressive death metal track by The L-Train and “the connoisseur of cringe himself”. Stallionslaughter delivers his trademark death metal growls and his equally impressive clean vocals during a nice respite in the middle. An unsurprisingly solid production by The L-Train with a guitar solo I could play on repeat. A must for any fan of the brony metal scene, give it a listen!
[PTY] Viricide Filly – Sunshine Stalkers | UK Garage / Dubstep
The Ponies That Yawn crew has certainly been on a roll lately, and here comes their third album Winter Wrappers, ending winter and removing the snow with wubs and great tunes! Viricide Filly’s piece Sunshine Stalkers provides a nostalgic trip back in time as Winter Wrap Up memories surface along the rythm of the vocal chops, and also delights with an underground-sounding musical mood created by a dark atmosphere, a deep sound design, a tasty bass and a solid beat.
NeoN – Felicity | Progressive House
More Progressive House greatness, this new treat from NeoN doesn’t fail to embody the musician’s strength and wonderful musical style for the occasion of a 600 subscribers special. Conveying musical skill just as much as tender feelings, Felicity brings a gorgeous bouquet of love-scented sounds for us all to enjoy. Make sure to thank the artist for their work as well!
Wind Wolf – The Mountain Path | Orchestral / Soundtrack
A track that oozes with classic JRPG flavor! Appropriate, as this one was made for the pony rpg game “Adventure of the Lunarbolts”. With a steady beat, a smooth sub bass, some lovely key arpeggios, and of course, that addicting Oboe melody, lots to love in this one! Windwolf has a knack for that RPG ost sound and I can listen to this on repeat. Check it out!
Light Assassin – Undead | Complextro
An impressive piece of sound design and Complextro madness, this new track from Light Assassin sure has got sick “growls”, and the take on the genre is really awesome. One of the artist’s best and most massive works!
Ponytronic – Fears | Chillout
Ponytronic gives us another piece filled with some very mellow sounds, and tasteful sound design choices. One thing I like about his mixes is how understated and savory they are. It doesn’t try too hard to get your attention but has a lot to offer, and this one is no exception. Melancholy, and rich with emotional flavor, this one is highly recommended!
