4everfreebrony released this track originally some time ago, but he’s put together a new 2017 version for his upcoming album, Silhouette Games. The new version is definitely an awesome example of how he’s improved over time, with some awesome vocals complimenting piano and guitar. The chorus is especially catchy, and this is certainly a song worth checking out!
DJT & Rusyd Rosman – Breathing Space + Jastrian Remix | House/Electro Pop
Every so often something comes along that blows my mind with how professional-sounding and awesome it is, and this is one of those times! DJT has been one of the most consistently good producers of recent times, and he’s teamed up with exceptional vocalist Rusyd Rosman to make this incredible house banger that has a fantastic combination of strong melody, tight sound design and very well sung lyrics.
Jastrian returns to the spotlight with a remix of DJT’s recent house banger, Breathing Space. This is Jastrian’s first remix of a fandom song, and hopefully not the last if this is any indication of what he can do with them! Making excellent use of Rusyd’s vocals from the original, there’s a terrific combination of vocal chops, prominent basses, piano and pluck-y synths that help make this an awesome complementary version to the original.
Xavi – Moonstruck | Future House
NB: This was originally posted on EQD 1 April 2017
Who’s the sauciest pony of them all? I have no idea but surely Princess Luna is pretty high up there. Xavi is pretty accustomed to whipping up hot tunes and this one is no different, with some contemporary future house that bounces around with a combination of shuffling percussion and heavy pluck-style bass sounds.

I Bring Da LULZ – Ponify Me (feat. Dwight G. MacGyver, Melody Sky, & Fluffalo) | Hip-Hop
A Hip-Hop masterpiece full of dedicated brony feelings and the early spirit of the discovery of the show, arisen again with a brand new spin. This is what this post is about! Following the original track from I Bring Da LULZ and Dwight G. MacGyver, this reenacted version by Fluffalo (formerly Buffalo Brony) and Melody Sky certainly displays a lot of the values from the Elements of Harmony, and is shining bright with the Magic of Friendship, too. The amazing vocals and relatable lyrics are all paying much tribute to what is keeping this wonderful community sharp, passionate, and true to its values. Some things will never change… I love you all!
Segments Of Life – Journey | Trancecore
My favorite track from Segments Of Life’s latest album Everything In Slow Motion, Journey not only manages to display the unique musical style and amazing genre fusioning that the musician is know for, but for me it also creates powerful emotions and especially during the part starting at 2:02. There’s just something in those melodies and sounds that is… something else. I highly recommend the rest of the album as well, literally every track is a gem! Always an amazing moment when Segments Of Life releases a new album.
TheMusicReborn – Pinkie’s Brew (Covering Griffin Lewis & Jenny Nicholson) | Trumpet
Forever a classic, the goldie oldie Pinkie’s Brew gets a remastered trumpet cover from TheMusicReborn, and it is definitely much welcomed! Partake in nostalgia or newfound appreciation as the original melodies lay out in a masterful trumpet arrangement, complete with a much gypsy-like instrumental accompaniment!
Midnight Musician – Where Is Your Heaven Now (ertrii Remix) | Progressive House
Ertrii’s Progressive House is amazing, and it is with much delight that we’re getting the gifted musician’s take on Midnight Musician’s track Where Is Your Heaven Now. Sublimating the original vocals with a blissful instrumental of divine beauty, it takes the soul for a wonderful ride among sound-powered emotions.
Mane in Green – Miss Rarity | Baroque / Electronic
A huge fan of Baroque music myself, I was instantly hooked by that familiar sounding, yet original harpsichord intro! Mane in Green is no stranger to the genre as he presents some very well written baroque style melodies and chord progressions. The electronic drums and sub base give this a modern spin, and only gets better as the flute is introduced taking over the motif. Then things get really exciting as the tempo picks up and we get some Bach-esque keyboard performances. Stuffed with musical ideas from beginning to end, no fan of classical music will get bored of this one!
Lunar Drift – Changeling Reform | Electronic/Orchestral
NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 28 March 2017.
Lunar Drift has been releasing music for about a year now, and they’ve steadily shown improvement over time. Whilst this piece is a little rough around the edges in places, the main focus is on the melodic elements which work wonderfully. There are some great melodies played out by the plucky synths, and the percussion keeps the energy moving along pretty well. All the while some nice string sounds help to fill in the background appreciably. There’s also a nice piano section towards the end, so check it out if that sounds like fun!
