Morgsch – Let The Sun Rise (Neighsayer Remix) | Chillout / Lounge

Here’s one if you’re in the mood for super chill stuff. Neighsayer has appeared plenty of times on previous P@D albums with fantastic live instrument production from jazz to blues and alt rock which my ears just melt into. Now they bring something even more smooth and mellow than usual with this remix of Mogsch and Itchigotchi’s Let The Sun Rise (albeit minus the vocals).

Mane In Green – Morning Walk | Chillout

Start off the day with this appropriately titled track from Mane In Green. It starts off with some nice ambient pads and bell sounds, before a somewhat eclectic drumkit kicks in with a soft, half-time beat. And the twist of orchestral instruments in a mostly electronic track do this some wonders too!

Seventh Element – Canterlot Insomnia | Future Garage

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 11 December 2016.

It feels like Seventh Element has been around forever, so it’s awesome to see that after all this time he’s still plugging away and releasing innovative and immersive new tunes. Canterlot Insomnia is the opening track of his upcoming concept album Fear Of Dark. If this is any indication, the album will be quite a journey. With an ambient intro full of dark overtones, excellent percussion and wonderful use of vocal sampling and auxiliary sounds help to mould a sinister and oppressive mood throughout.

Sky Runner – Stargazer (Hay Tea Remix) | Chillstep

OH LAWDY THIS IS GOOD STUFF! *ahem* Forgive my over-enthusiasm, but I absolutely adore this kind of music. The drums sound like certain tracks by Direct, and combined with that smooth rolling bass and sweeping pads, all with Sky’s lead melody on top, this makes one of the best chill tracks I’ve heard in ages! Props to Hay Tea for doing such a great job with a genre previously unfamilar to him.

‘Shy – Distant Dreams | Melodic Dubstep

Feels like it’s been a while since I heard something from ‘Shy, or maybe just a while since I wrote a post about their music. Regardless, I’m loving this new song that puts both melodic and chill elements together in a dubstep track and tops it off with vocal splices from So Many Wonders. Perhaps those vocals are overused, but it’s only because they work well in so many situations…

Vylet Pony – Ordinarily.. (feat. Cadie) | Chillout

While it is well-known and heavily confirmed since Scaremaster that Vylet Pony can come up with the most hard-hitting kind of tracks, the producer is just as talented at making blissful Chillout songs that make you feel at ease like it was magic. With the help of Cadie‘s majestic voice providing a humming that seems like it’s coming straight from the heavens, this new release proves to be quite the fitting track to play in repeat as you spend some fluffy time at the spa or cuddling/RP-ing with a friend online.

ertrii – Please Be Quiet | Chill House

NB: This was originally posted on Equestria Daily on 21 November 2016.

Another beautiful chill track from ertrii to grace your ears! His style continues to be one of the most consistently calming in the scene and his abilities are put to good use here in the form of a chilled out house track. This one has a really nice lead that meanders throughout the majority of the piece to tie it together, and some pretty groovy drums too. Make sure to check it out if you want something calm and collected to cool you down.

A musician who is definitely showing a lot of promise, TCB releases an impressive track using pony vocal chops from the now famous Rainbow Dash song I’ll Fly in a beautiful and emotional way. The instrumental also conveys a lot of emotion, and is a token of TCB’s incredible potential!

A very fitting way to conclude such an amazing album as Destinations, Forgotten (As in Times Past) continues on the streak of emotional music and much to Totalspark’s signature, brings unique sounds, melodies and emotions that ravish the soul, putting once again through music an incredible sensitivity and ability to create magic.
