Jyc Row is back yet again with another incredible track for the Infinite Eclipse series, and like all the other tracks in the series it is full of epic orchestration and stunning storytelling through music. “Molten Spike VS Ember & Thorax (Badlands Meltdown)” is a direct sequel to “Wings of Destruction” and “Heroes Shall Vanquish Once again,” two other impressive narrative-driven tracks in their “Molten Spike” story from the “Prequel’s Finale” sub-series of Infinite Eclipse. Being the first track in a while to be fully instrumental, it brings out Jyc Row’s amazing talent creating his signature epic orchestral and highlights the celtic-type instruments that go into it. And don’t get me started on the male choir vocalization! I feel like I am immersed in a great dragon battle with a crowd of warriors backed behind me.
Misc
GNG – A Dashie Anthem | Rap/Hip-Hop
Content Warning: Explicit lyrics
In this track, GNG symbolically conjures a mass of thunderclouds crackling with electric overdrive and dense to the point of sensory overload. Fascinating artistic use is made of the ethereally shifting tones which can result from running pure electric feedback through many layers of noise reduction.
Everything is distorted; You might not even know the lyrics were explicit if they weren’t provided, but the core message comes through clearly in this swaggering rap anthem for a pony who needs no introduction: You can clip the sound waves but you can never clip my wings!
Ethan Toavs – Odysseys | Orchestral
rawrity – PLATONIC | Pop
John Doe – Pony Town Seasons: Autumn – 01 Jacket | Orchestral
As summer ended and with fall starting, John Doe released a new song for Pony Town on the theme of fall! The whole song has a really pleasant feeling attached to it, being both calm and peaceful as it allows us to remember all the memories we had on Pony Town thanks to its easily distinguishable music. Whether it’s to enjoy it as ambient music, or being fully focused on it while chatting with other pony friends, this song is a perfect choice.
Violight – Becoming Popular (covering Daniel Ingram & Kazumi Evans) | Pop
We probably don’t feature enough purely vocal covers, so this is a nice welcome addition to our usual features. Violight’s cover of Rarity’s solo song Becoming Popular is delightful with a bit of a softer touch than the original. She even handles the harmony line fabulously!
Nexgen – Tomoe | Hip-Hop
Nexgen’s latest release tells us about the story of a pony deciding to protect a mare running from danger. The combination of the mysterious hip-hop vibes and the dynamic rhymes makes us feel their defensive position and also the strength of the team as he gets ready to save the defenseless, no matter the cost. Enjoy and relax as you listen to the song of somepony willing to keep you under their wing.
EveryDayDashie – Summer Forever | Upbeat Acoustic / Folk
As we entered fall, and with winter quickly approaching, there is nothing better than a song to warm our hearts in order to remember the good times we had in summer – And that’s exactly what EveryDayDashie did with their song “Summer Forever”! The vibes definitely made me feel like relaxing on a beach while enjoying the warmth of the sun. This release brings a smile to my face thanks to its acoustic vibes and powerful beats. Enjoy the sunshine that this song provides, especially during those chilly days!
Ethan Toavs – A Guiding Light | Orchestral
When it’s about releasing new orchestral music, Ethan Toavs never fails to surprise us! This time with a song bringing harmony and peace to soothe our ears. A Guiding Light keeps us on our hooves with dynamic rhythm, while still giving long releases to calm our minds. So make yourself some tea, lay back, and let the relieving song take it from there!
TM – Forever [Remastered] | Plunderphonics
THE Toby Macaroni is back with an upgraded version of Forever, a piece written almost entirely from short pieces of many G4 songs. The compositional choices for song segments, as well as use of sound space are mesmerizing with how they work when played together and fun to challenge yourself to remember which songs they are from. The sensation that comes from listening to this track (especially through headphones!) cannot be adequately described, only experienced.
