Track 3 from Ponies at Dawn: Eclipse is This Is What It’s Like, the first of three appearances of 4everfreebrony (along with Envia Sun, SaxPon3 and TheMusicReborn) on the album! The song depicts a scenario where Celestia visits the moon while Luna’s still imprisoned there, to see how she’s hanging on. Celestia here is portrayed by Envia Sun, and her voice is absolutely spectacular. She really completes this piece, making this happy-but-secretly-sad song sounding amazing. If that’s your thing, you’ll love this!

Lianella Stilson – We’re On Fire (feat. Filacki) | Big Room House
Lianella Stilson’s latest outing with Filacki is called We’re on Fire, and what an appropriate name considering this really is fire! The bounciness comes straight in right as it starts, and Lianella’s vocals are always a welcome treat. Check out that synth-filled drop! You’ll be bouncing for days.
Vylet Pony – Fairytails | Alternate Electronic
The title track from Vylet Pony’s latest album Super Pony World: Fairytails really sets out to impress! Primarily showcasing a chiptune style, the whole track sounds straight out of a video game. It starts out with just a set of brooding choir chords before a plucked sound joins in; it quickly transitions to a pure chiptune melody with the whole 9 yards: digitized drums and plucky 8-bit melodies. We only have a few seconds to enjoy this before the song properly kicks in. There’s an adventurous melody played along numerous different synth sounds and styles, which really makes this unique piece sound out. Just over halfway in, Vylet’s voice pops in, sounding soulful and powerful as ever. Another banger to add to the list!
The Empty Tomb – The Fall of The Crystal Empire | Hybrid Trap
Nothing can stop the return of the evil King Sombra. This track fits his aura really well, painting a picture of his second attempt at destroying the Crystal Empire with a vengeance. The drop is heavy as can be, and those orchestral trap moments really capture Sombra’s dark side. Two different styles of music coming together like this is a blessing!
The Balefire Symphony – I Love You (Fallout Day 2020) | Hybrid Orchestral
A unique ballad, this one. Lead by an orchestral backing with strong drums, Harvest Orange sings to himself about his desire to find his wife in his last hours on the planet. His vocals really put you in the moment and the instrumentation is full of emotion, especially towards the middle!
Skyshard – Blaze Shot | House
It’s always good to hear relatively new talent putting out solid tracks you can enjoy! Skyshard is past due for some notoriety and Blaze Shot shows off a propensity for ambient design and creating a real vibe/energy from music! The piano is soothing, the melody is very pleasing to the ears, and the instrumental panning is engaging! Be sure to check out this song and give Skyshard a sub!
[P@D] PSFMer – Sublunar | Drum and Bass
PSFMer has been featured on both P@D albums this year and with musical abilities like those on display in Sublunar, it is not hard to see why! Staying true to the theme of Ponies at Dawn: Eclipse, this track mixes Nightmare Moon chops from the very first episode in with a pulsating bass and DnB beat. The resulting combination gives off a very trippy, outer space vibe, contributing lots of originality and creativity to another incredible compilation album!
[P@D] BlueBrony & Totalspark – The Secret Agent | Hybrid Orchestral
BlueBrony and Totalspark (the latter’s second of two contributions) join forces to create something unique as part of Ponies at Dawn: Eclipse: a unique combination of orchestral music and dubstep! It really captures the feeling of an intense spy mission, especially when the surprising rock elements make their way in!
[P@D] Radiarc – Of Shadows and Nightmares | Orchestral
Anime theme song, anyone? Track 38 from Ponies at Dawn: Eclipse is Of Shadows and Nightmares from Radiarc, an orchestral piece with some power! This one is sprinkled with goodness from each string instrument to the quickly plucked strings, to even the piano; it all comes together to form something that would fit well in a movie trailer or anime opening. I get chills every time that piano riff comes in. You know, there’s a reason why Radiarc is regarded at the top of the MLP music scene, and this song is a great example!
[P@D] Wandering Artist – Nocturne | Orchestral
Today we’ve got ourselves another calm song, this time by Wandering Artist. The song is a beautiful piece inspired by romantic music. It has a great progression but stays calm all the way through making it the perfect song for lying down and closing your eyes for a second. It’s easy to imagine yourself relaxing in the Golden Oak Library after an exhausting day and drifting off to sleep to the sound of rustling leaves.
