In yet another case of a musician returning to the fandom after a few moments of silence, New Reverian’s back with his first new track in just about a year, as well as his first track under the New Reverian pseudonym since late 2018. Journies is an optimistic ambient pop piece with lovely atmospheric synths along with pony vocal chops soaked in reverb. The beautiful mood never lets up throughout the remainder of the track, and makes for a cozy listening experience!

The chiptune-y melodies are giving those very nostalgic vibes once again, and this was definitely another amazing surprise from the musician!

Get your umbrellas out, because the storm is coming. Track 68 from Ponies at Dawn: Eternal sees UndreamedPanic enter synthwave territory with Metajoker by his side. The atmosphere is bleak with plenty of reverb on the latter’s voice as the 80s-inspired synths and bass paint a picture of the rain falling on a lonely town. As long as you’re inside and cozy with this song, the storm won’t get you.

Hey, listen! sleepy toaster’s contribution to Equinity 02: Catalyst is All Over Equestria, a unique electronic piece with various influences as well as the 8th track. Starting off slow with a soft staccato synth stab section before adding a quick buzzing synth that sounds like it came straight from the 2000s. What follows is a brilliant modern-sounding slow house jam with beautiful melodies and even a sample of Navi from Legend of Zelda. Such a wild combination of styles, but it all comes together nicely!

From an upcoming EP, this first part of a story is bringing an atmospheric intro that relies on vocal samples for story-telling and it was definitely an awesome initiative! Apparently the EP is made for a friend, and that makes the music extra comfy!

Delightfully experimental as always, Nyancat380’s music never ceases to impress, and this new Pinkie-themed abrasive experiment for noise.horse’s Christmas compilation album is venturing the roads less traveled along Pinkie who’s sampled all throughout the track!
Vylet Pony – Sorceress | Indie Pop
You’d better believe that Vylet’s got tricks up her sleeve. Track 10 from Queen of Misfits is some pop goodness about Equestria’s most misunderstood magician, Trixie. Starting off with some vocal chops from Tricks Up My Sleeve, we’re led into Vylet’s smooth voice in front of a punchy drum pattern and a realistic sounding bassline. Vylet sings with conviction through the chorus with lyrics about how great and powerful her self-appointed sorcery is. Can’t get much better than this!
Pegasas – Shimmer VIP | Glitch-Hop
A fresh revamped version of Pegasas’ original Sunset-themed track, this Glitch-Hop beauty is bringing all the irresistible funk as well as Sunset’s own irresistible voice. Emotional melodies are back again to soothe the soul and make us ascend to new skies along Sunset, and it just feels so great!
GeekBrony – In The Shade | Hybrid Orchestral
GeekBrony’s back with his first original track since 2018’s Last Tempest! In The Shade is a unique song that creates a sense of danger with a blend of orchestral and electronic elements. The middle sees a shift into full electronic territory with a gritty bassline and punchy drums that hit harder than Stygian ever could with Equestria. This song is also slated to be a part of Geek’s upcoming PoniGame, so keep an ear out!
[Equinity] Tw3Lv3 & Niłch’i Poni – Sea Stack | Liquid Drum & Bass
This rare Drumscape Library by Tw3lv3 and Niłch’i Poni is introduced with a collage of high-up plucks backed by continuous pads, faint electric piano, and flute sounds. After a monstrous drum fill to introduce the drums, the reins of the track are taken by vocal chops and spacious electric piano riffs. Then the song undergoes a steep interlude, to be brought back with the support of a massive reese-y bass. Tw3lv3 and Niłch’i Poni did a fantastic job of combining an atmospheric liquid Drum & Bass tone and a deep Neurofunk-like tone in this song, which also has a well-earned spot on the Equinity 02: Catalyst compilation album.
