If there’s one thing that I absolutely adore, it’s when musicians mix electronic and orchestral elements for their song, like a Romeo & Juliet in music. And if there is anyone whom I’ve seen consistently produce bangers with this forbidden mix of elements, it’s RedSpark. Keeping a consistent, electronic-type bassline throughout the song, this song has all the energy that you’d expect for a typical electronic song, but it is the orchestral break that translate into a melody after the rise that keeps me listening. Keep doing what you do RedSpark!

Blackened Blue – Stranger Changer | Alt Rock
Blackened Blue’s first release this year is a peppy rock song with a message about power dynamics, facades, and corruption, all loosely connected to the metaphor of seeing through a changeling’s disguise. The guitars and bass form a warm texture with the extra crisp drums delivering the punch. The guitar solo in the second half kicks some serious tail, and when it drops out, it’ll leave you with a powerful feeling of emptiness. It’s a great track overall; keep up the good work!
Rosace Pony – Memories | House
SpinScissor – Love Is in the Air | Electro Pop
If there is any musician that can create a catchy instrumental for their music, it’s SpinScissor, and this song is one of those earworm melodies. This track opens with Spin using extremely heavy autotune, which I don’t remember him ever doing to that high of a degree. In fact, most of the singing styles that Spin used feels unique compared to what Spin usually does; I honestly cannot remember a time where he added grittiness to his singing as well. This just adds not only to the edginess of the track and it’s theme, but is a testament to Spin’s already incredible singing talents.
HARMONY BOP – THE CRYSTAL KING | POST-HARDCORE
GAZINGMOON – ComeOut | Witch House
We all know Fluttershy as a kind and caring character, but does she have a darker side? One of our fandom’s newest musicians, GAZINGMOON, explores this idea in their track, “ComeOut.” It’s quiet, creepy, sinister, and features extremely crunched samples of Fluttershy screaming. The arpeggiating pads and extremely tight snare add to the eerie feel–this is not the kind of house you normally hear, so make sure to check out its unique soundscape (unless you’re too scared to)!
ElectroKaplosion – Cute Mares Around The World | Europop
Everyone needs some dance songs in the style of the early 2000s from time to time, and this track brought to you by ElectroKaplosion is just the right one to satisfy such desire! Slowly introducing you to the tempo and catchy lyrics sung by vul, the song pulls you in immediately with its high energy, beat, and melody, motivating you to dance along with all the other mares around the world; give it a listen!
Saphire Systrine – a little bit of darkness | Dark Ambient
Each one of us harbors some inner demons, and Saphire Systrine channels these emotions tangibly in this fittingly named track. Starting with a simple synthetic piano, layer on layer gets added on top of each other to create an interplay of sound that conveys feelings of inner strain and how fast they may emerge within oneself, supplemented by the abrupt change of composition towards the end. Make sure to let yourself be carried on this journey by giving this track a listen!
Frozen Night – Scarlet Rain’s Elegy | Symphonic Metal
Thrack – Never Give Up (Feat. CantoAcrylic & Tall Pine) | Folk
Thrack has teamed up with Canto and Tall Pine to make a warm and hopeful track set in the Fallout Equestria universe. It opens with Pine going ham on a sick mandolin riff before Canto and Thrack take turns singing inspiring lyrics about never “give[ing] up the fight” even if it costs them everything. Towards the end, their voices join together briefly to modulate to a different key, and it’s absolutely heavenly. The instrumentation is also incredibly lush with guitar, banjo, mandolin, and even some glockenspiel. All together, this song’s sure to help you smile even through the darkest of times.
