PegasYs ft. Midnight Melody – Dental Damn (Agents of Discord Remix) | Hip-Hop
This gives me flashbacks to about a year ago when the original of this track was released. Unfortunately far too late for the remix EP, but it’s nice to see this tune still being remixed. In this particular version, AoD makes plenty of use of the horns from the original, combined with a classic break beat rhythm and hip-hop style drum sampling.
FruityFusion – Waifusquad | Future Bass / Hip-Hop
Is it just me, or is anyone else reminded of the Wii Shop music? Fruity’s new track sees him trying out not one but two styles I’ve never heard from him before. It starts off with a slower future bass section, filled with plenty of 808 kicks, sub bass, and vocal splicing. The middle section switches up into a faster tempo hip-hop section, before going back to the previous future bass style again.
SoGreatandPowerful – A Beautiful Heart (Tech’s Semi-Finished Remix) | Hip-Hop
A name that will definitely never be forgotten, SoGreatandPowerful appears again as Technickel’s wonderful remix gets a proper YouTube release along a cover art by our very own Hackd, sharing once again the magic of the legendary pony composer. A remix full of passion, it doesn’t fail to bring out the power of A Beautiful Heart with a new accompaniment, where emotional strings and piano lead the way along a gentle beat and those notes that always so delightfully evoke certain OST tracks from the Zelda games. A token of SoGreatandPowerful’s unique vision and sensitivity!
Versal – Please Don’t Shoot Me Down (ft. Silver Note & Buffalo Brony) | Rap / Hip-Hop
It’s a rework / cover of a parody of a Lil Wayne song. The original parody was done by Versal, Dubious, and Rhyme Flow back in 2013, and this version has Silver Note on vocals for the chorus (which IMO sounds better Lil Wayne’s original) and Buffy rapping his own custom 2nd verse. However, this goes in a very different direction to the 2013 version and focuses on the aftermath of Lightning Dust’s demise in Wonderbolt Academy, and completely changes the tone of the refrain.
Vylet Pony – Drama Queen (ft. Kyunn) | Trip Hop
Another little gem from the Love Letters EP released a few weeks ago, marking the penultimate track on the album. Beautifully jazzy piano is joined by low-key hip-hop beats and eventually by vocals from both Vylet and Kyunn with a remorseful theme.
Hay Tea – Solitude | Hip Hop / Drum & Bass
An amazing and heartfelt tribute to the events of the S6 finale and to Chrysalis, this new release from Hay Tea unleashes all the musical talent of the DnB master into a deep, sad yet beautiful piece that displays the power of feelings toward our beloved characters, and of Passion. Piano, strings, original progression, on-point beat and an unexplainable magical power all give to this piece the distinct feel and emotion it conveys.
Wootmaster – Lack of Faith (Technickel Pony Remix) | Hip-Hop
