Direct Current – Fade | Pop

A sort of alternative-indie-pop piece from Direct Current to finish the day, with what I believe is his vocal debut! And as with me when I first tried singing on my own songs, it was pitch correction to the rescue. This two halves of this piece are sung from the perspectives of Shining Armor and Candance respectively; that duality is always a nice touch.

[KM] Totalspark – Resurgence | Future

New Cider Party Feature! This time it’s something from the recent King Mars Tribute Album by Totalspark. A sort of hybrid between future and chillout, also with Sparky’s own vocals  filling out the track, this is some of his best work to date, and a great way to mark his Cider Party debut too!

The Cosine Pitchshifterz – Ask Pun Pony (NeverLastStanding Remix) | Hardstyle / Happy Hardcore

Why have one ‘hard’ genre when you can have two?! I never expected NeverLastStanding to make hardstyle but he seems to continually surprise me. Check out this two-in-one remix to finish off the day.

[LDB] EM120X – Teardown | Electronic

This song from EM120X sorta fits both into our midtempo and chillout categories; it’s at 110bpm and has very chilling vibe to it, but moreso in a dark way than a relaxing way. It’s pretty different from some of the other stuff on Beats Me 2, a but then the whole album is somewhat eclectic, so it fits right in!

Daniel Ingram – Luna’s Future (Frozen Night Remix) | Symphonic Metal

Perhaps more of a new arrangement than a remix, but still definitely pretty cool, this version of Luna’s Future by Frozen Night is a 3-phase symphonic metal track. Small phases, but still with tempo changes and the sense of different levels of pace between them, interesting stuff!

[LDB] ExplodingPonyToast, LutariFan & ThatMusicBrony – Start Again (IKX Remix) | Dubstep

Another remix of the awesome song Start Again, this time courtesy of IKX, a regular to the P@D albums and now proudly featured on the new LDB album too. Taking the dubstep route as IKX does so well, this remix is a solid production, more than worthy of some decent attention.

StealingShad3Z – Hasbro Claimed Rights To This Song Title (feat. Francis Vace) | Pop-Punk

It’s one thing to make a parody of a particular song, another to parody stereotypical lyrics of a genre itself and write a tongue in cheek song about an issue the entire fandom will encounter from time to time. Catch this pop-punk track about Shady’s love/hate relationship with Hasbro, featuring Francis Vace on additional vox!

Brodub – Club Mare | House

While admittedly a bit rough around the edges, there’s some cool ideas here and from a producer that you may not be familiar with. The track uses a healthy diversity of synth design and smartly structures itself to sustain its energies. If you’re one of those riding the forefront of the brony EDM scene, be sure to give him a follow so you don’t miss out on future tracks.
