With the release of Vylet’s new album Super Pony World (which we’ll have a post about soon), we have a load of remixes made by various artists that feature on the deluxe version. This first one comes from Andrew & Ric, a duo who are newcomers to the brony music scene. They’ve shown their skill for making house in the past and this remix is no exception to their streak of good music.
Month: June 2016
StealingShad3Z – Keep Fighting | Soft Rock
Back in one the the styles he usually frequents again, StealingShad3Z has a new songs about the inner torment of Luna and her internal struggle against Nightmare Moon. Some rather dark and depressing lyrics, as you might expect from this sort of topic, and the haunting clean guitars only further bring a melancholic mood to this song, great work composing it to fit the theme!
Crystarium – Overdose (feat. Wootmaster) | Dubstep
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Qb4rhtWmeI
[Warning: VERY explicit lyrics] Crystarium (Redd’s new electronic alias) has something for us that he’s been working on for a long time. Based on Wootmaster’s song Overdose Cypher, this track started off as a remix before becoming more of a fully fledged collab. Heavy beats and hot bars, go take a listen!

Segments of Life – Can’t Let Go | Trancecore
Segments of Life’s unique blend of hardcore, trance and hard rock strikes again in this new song, “Can’t Let Go”. This one incorporates plenty of house elements too, further confusing me on how to place this into our database >.> But seriously, nice job SoL!
Daniel Ingram – It’s Gonna Work (174UDSI Remix) | French House
In a very unexpected turn of events, French House! 174UDSI has put his own spin on last week’s new song from the episode in a completely unique style from the rest of the remixes I’ve seen. While the “Indian flavour” is gone, we get funky guitars and bass which, funnily enough, spice up this song!
Reverbrony – To Kiss The Skies | Progressive Ambient Rock
With a title somewhat evoking Trivium-ish Heavy Metal songs to me, this piece is surprisingly of the softests, with Reverbrony’s magic for creating unique, beautiful, and concept-centered tracks shining bright once again. Angelic piano melodies followed by gentle yet meaningful and powerful guitar play guide us along Fluttershy’s steps, encompassing the poetry from the cover art in a brand new way, perhaps reflecting the story of our favorite Nature-loving pegasus. A work of art in more ways than one!
StealingShad3Z – Do What You Daring Do | Hardcore / Metal
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYDLt1upIX8
Something from Shady that’s rather different to his usual content. Deviating a bit from the alt. rock ballads that fill his channel this time he’s made an instrumental hardcore/metal type song about Daring Do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdLcA-_fQxU
Yes, the Top Ten Pony Songs monthly feature is still alive! Delays are due to reasons pertaining to academia (people involved are graduating and stuff), but it will be back on track soon. While the video may not be ready, the results for April are now publicly available in this quick video (a good month for some P@D songs!) and the voting for May’s Top Ten is open. You can look through our May archives to search for songs to vote for, or use Günz’s YouTube playlist of songs released in May!
Stallionslaughter – Sweepcore | Deathcore
As much addicted to “sweep dance remixes” as I am, I’ve still got to say, EDM remixes are great and all, but… what about rock music? Admitedly beyond my wildest expectations, here comes Sweepcore, a beautiful Deathcore rendition of the madness that Twilight’s remix has created in the community, breaking the barriers of the socially adequate, and shouting loud and proud about the fun of sweeping in the purest spirit of rock. Unconditionally a masterpiece for its dare and raw power, Sweepcore may not be the definite promise of a new musical genre but is certainly a much welcomed addition to the post-episode afterparty, and sure to be played in many Equestrian back-alley underground gig halls.
