Jonny Music has been making arrangements of pony music for all sorts of organs, but has recently commissioned Yensid Organist to play his pipe organ version of all the songs from A Hearth’s Warming Tail, live! It starts off with the show’s theme song followed by Heart’s Warming Eve Is Here Once Again which works very well, the festive sounds such as the bells being easily played by the very versatile instrument. Say Goodbye to the Holiday definitely sounds very much like a villain song which the organ is often used to represent. Once again the flexibility of the instrument allows for a great adaptability, and now Pinkie’s Present sounds a bit like theme park song. Fandom’s beloved Luna’s Future also gets the organ treatment, conveying the greatness of the original. Even a bonus from Heart’s Warming Eve is included at the end. The performance and arrangement both deserve much love as great amounts of efforts must have been poured into making this video, which even features Easter eggs!

Toby Macarony – Shiny Ponies | Chiptune
Introduce yourself to the Macarony’s new chiptune track with a flamboyant and sparkling intro made of synth brass. After an upbeat pixelated bridge, succumb to the creamy interlude, which builds you up to its chorus of vocal chops over even more brassy chords. Be guided through this frenzied chiptune piece with its action-signaling tom-tom fills! Stay for the last few bars and you’ll find an even wider chorus of vocals over even thicker synth brasses, ending the song perfectly.
[Helpie’s Corner] TobWie LP – RandoPone | Electro
Released as part of Helpie’s Corner: Other Side Of The Mirror and uploaded on A State of Sugar’s channel, this is TobWie LP’s newest tune. Creativity and a wild variety of samples are the main focus here. Experimentation with sound design can be heard throughout the track but powerful drops are here too. The vocal lines are arranged in such a way they can be interpreted in questionable ways as the interesting art chosen (most likely by Violin Melody) suggests.
Nyancat380 – From the Future | Dubstep
Nyancat380’s glow up continues, with his new intriguing approach to making dubstep, taking cues from traditional Colombian cumbia music. This banger will be sure to please any Latin bronies (like myself!) due to its tasteful sampling of the Spanish pony dub (It’s About Time‘s dub specifically). The sound design is among the best we’ve heard from Nyancat and many of the rhythms hit hard, even those with a cumbia shuffle. If you’re into dubstep and want something a bit different, this one’s for you!
StealingShad3z – Neglect the Chicken (feat. Blackened Blue) | Pop-Punk
Shad3z has blessed us with another kickin’ pop punk tune, this time about teenage Scootaloo! The lyrics evoke Green Day’s Jesus of Suburbia, though not as melodramatic, with its theme of a rebellious Scoots leaving home to live a greater life with her friends. The production (including some vocal production from 4everfreebrony!) is rock-solid and Blackened Blue’s guitar chops are as impressive as ever. You can grab this one at Shad3z’ or at Ponies at Dawn’s Bandcamp page and support a great cause!
[P@D] SDreamExplorerS – Funk, I’m Late! (feat. L-Train) | Funk Metal
Oh funk, we’ve got another Ponies at Dawn: Echoes release! The compilation’s 39th track (as well as the 9th track on Ephemeral II: Parallels) sees a collab between SDreamExplorerS and L-Train that combines elements of funk rock and death metal; this track has it all. Groovy and technical basslines, atmospheric leads, brutal drums; just pure funky heaviness. An unstoppable dream team, these two!
Lianella Stilson – Anger | Dubstep
The elusive Lianella Stilson returns with her first original track since February! This one is a heavy dubstep piece with lyrical themes based around anger, her feelings pushed out with powerful wubs and a couple lines being juxtaposed with dark growls. The song even takes a different direction towards the middle, with the tempo moving faster while remaining cathartic and punchy. All the power to her!
Eurobeat Brony – Discord (Rod Steven Remix) | Eurobeat
It’s difficult to do such an iconic song as Discord justice for many reasons, especially when staying within the same genre as the original, but Rod Steven has done it! His new lead melody during the breakdowns has a distinct punch and catchiness to it, not to mention an awesome synth solo, so go check it out!
Brownie – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Metal
Guitar wizard and creator of the amazing Neighhem Fest events Brownie has graced us with an absolutely killer cover of the beloved The Magic Friendship Grows from MLP’s finale! It utilizes a gritty production aesthetic, is beautifully-executed (with the guitar tones in particular shining), and is sure to quench any of you headbangers’ thirst for more pony metal! As commenter, musician, and fellow HMH writer Blackened Blue puts it, “Get ready for the saddest moshpit ever.”
[Helpie’s Corner] Evdog – Say Goodbye | Soft Rock
The theme of longing for the past continues with Say Goodbye, the fourth track from Other Side of the Mirror, the first Helpie’s Corner album. Evdog’s contribution is a soft rock track with plenty of acoustic guitars and powerful harmonies in the chorus that just ooze emotion. Loss is a topic that definitely hits home for some, but hopefully this piece will help you through it.
