NEW MUMBLE?! Well, not quite. Taken from a 2015 EP of remixed MLP songs, but new to YouTube, Mumble put his unique spin on Music In The Treetops with a sort of electro twist that moves from straight time to triplets and back again, keeping a hard-hitting glitchy bassline throughout the entire song.

Zephysonas & CrystalData – Canterlot Christmas | Orchestral
More cute Christmassy vibes (even if they are a little belated on our part!) this time from Zephysonas and CrystalData. It’s a short but sweet piece that incorporates and transitions between many different parts of an orchestra, as well as harps and nice little jingly bells in the background.
Sonic Hooves – Snow Forest | Orchestral
I didn’t expect so many people to be releasing music over the holidays, but there’s almost an abundance of lovely Christmassy orchestral pieces including this one by Sonic Hooves. Little plucked harps and bells make great aural representations of snowfall and the rising and falling of the strings carries the steady progression of this piece.
Nicolas Dominique – Cuando La Luna Camina En La Noche | Ambient
¡Sí, se habla español aquí! But we mostly stick to English for the writeups. Nic’s working on a new album full of chill goodness, and this is one of the songs that will feature on it. Published just after the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, it works as a counterpart to Le Soleil, which was released at the Summer Solstice. Clever, that.
DJ Shadow Music – White Clouds | Progressive House
I feel like Makenshi should be writing this post, since this song is dedicated to him, but of course, he’s left a comment on it with his own thoughts! 😉 And as he says in his comment, the upbeat nature of the song and the melodies are a brilliant reflection of Makenshi’s personality and what he strives to be to other people.

Ponies At Dawn – Memories | Compilation Album | Multi-Genre
Another P@D album? And so soon too! But there’s a difference with this new one. Memories is a compilation of songs previously released as singles by various artists from the Ponies At Dawn collective, brought together as an alternative representation of the collective, and with a charitable initiative too.
All the money raised from this album will be donated to Save the Children (specifically the Australian branch), an international charity that promotes children’s rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.
You can still download this compilation album for free from the Ponies At Dawn bandcamp page if you’re unable to donate, but if you are able to, thanks for helping a charitable cause! Enjoy the music and relive the memories these songs bring back to you!
Ponies At Dawn: Memories – Charity album stream starting now!
I’ll admit, I completely forgot to post about this in advance of the event, but Ponies At Dawn are releasing a new album tonight! Don’t worry, you didn’t miss the submissions deadline! Instead, this album is a charity compilation previously standalone released songs by various past and present P@D artists. Various singles from across the past few years have been grouped together the by P@D team for this release where all money raised goes to Save The Children.
Another difference to the normal release is that the stream will be purely the music from the album, with just the track names being announced, so don’t fret if you don’t hear as much of Lycan’s…soothing tones between tracks. It starts right now (4pm EST) and should last for 4.5 hours, plenty of great music to fill your Friday night!

More ASOS! This time Zizkil brings a rather short but sweet house track drawing elements from bass house and complextro, while maintaining an overall pretty chill feel. It’s something a bit different from their usual style, but it’s always nice to see people branch out a little.
