Rusty Thorsell – Porcelain | Acoustic(?)

Rusty here seems to be good at making percussion out of household objects; this sounds you hear in this song were made primarily from a teacup, a mandolin and rubber bands. I don’t quite know what to call it, hence the “Acoustic(?)” label, but I’m enjoying the well-programmed percussion in this. Nice job Rusty!

A Symphony of Two – Shadow of the Empress | Orchestral

A Symphony of Two, the recently-formed duo of the artist formerly known as Ponycide and their friend “Fred” (he says hi), bring us another well-crafted orchestral piece. It’s rather fittingly dark to match the image of Nightmare Moon, check it out if you’re into that type of music!

StealingShad3Z – Remain Silent | Alt. Rock

A much more thoughtful piece from StealingShad3Z than what we’re used to, Remain Silent is a musical commission based on the fanfic Sleepless Nights. And at over 7 minutes, it’s certainly one of his longer pieces too. Check it out above for OCs and sad stories.

Ponyphonic – The Moon Rises (feat. Kristen Calvin) | Orchestral

Ponyphonic teams up with professional singer Kristen Calvin to bring us a remake of their original 2012 hit, well known as the sister-song in to Lullaby for a Princess in that storyline. Complete with full female vocals and revamped musical score, this song feels so much more powerful now than the original did. I guess that’s what 4 years of experience does to any musician! Go listen for epic Luna!

Lunar Dance – Sunny Days | Progressive House

Some more uplifting progressive house music for you, courtesy of Lunar Dance. This song is inspired in part by a recent trip, and I can imagine this as a good driving song on an open road. Bright, happy melodies and 4-chord progressions are aplenty in this, go check it out!
