More remix competitions! This time Light Assassin is holding a competition to remix his song Invasion of Canterlot. The rules for this one are pretty simple, as follows:

• ONE remix per artist (collabs are allowed)
• No using the samples for your own use
• Remixes must be submitted before June 20th

From next Sunday (or maybe even Monday) we’ll have just a 5% markup, and in the interest of transparency, any profits gained from that will go towards our domain fees. Any profits gained past that threshold will then be donated to a charity of our choice.

Ponytronic’s holding a remix competition for all the songs from his 2014 album, Impetuous View. Although it’s not just open to remixes, orchestral renditions of any of the songs are being accepted too! The following video contains some basic info, but you should check this Google Doc for the FULL details on this remix competition.

Try something different, re-write a composition, but most importantly, have fun!

NB: Note that there is some overlap at the beginning and end of each month; the first posts in April may contain March songs and the some late April songs may have been posted in May. Also, remember that Ponies At Dawn: Awakening was released in April, and the songs from it that were released before the end of the month are very much eligible for this!

THE HYPE TRAIN HAS NO BRAKES! As you may know from our Cider Party exclusive posts, the latest Ponies At Dawn compilation album is set to be released this coming Friday. What you probably didn’t know is that our friends at PonyvilleFM have got an entire day’s worth of DJ sets and live shows to celebrate it!

The day starts 10am Eastern with 7  different hour-long DJ sets, with the official album playthrough starting at 5pm Eastern, hosted by Lycan and Chord Catcher as a special edition of Lycan Dese Beats. The whole album lasts for over 4 hours, SOOO much music! Following that, 3 more DJ sets to finish off the day, ending at midnight.
