New affiliate – Cider Party returns!

Cider Party, the promotional channel for electronic brony music, is back after a few months’ hiatus, now powered by the HMH team! Consequently the channel will now act as a sub-entity of the Horse Music Herald, an advanced affiliate of sorts.

Cider Party was founded by Spikey Wikey, AKA Tacos, in September 2014 as a way to promote electronic songs and artists in the brony music scene. It originally ran, posting multiple songs each week, until September 2015, when Spikey felt he needed to step down from the channel, as ultimately the task of following the entirety of the brony music collective, managing video uploads, and hunting for the best art to use is a far greater commitment than any individual should be expected to so consistently carry out. But while it’s been dormant, we have managed to construct a means of putting the channel back on track for regular uploads of the best electronic music the fandom has to offer, and we hope to do just that. To kick things off, we’re taking a track from the last Ponies at Dawn album that was never released on YouTube. So sit back and enjoy Morgsch – Let The Sun Rise (Exiark Remix).

Horse Music Hotspot – February 2016

As part of our partnership with Ponyville FM, I (Intersekt) am hosting the Horse Music Hotspot, a showcase of the best of the best music featured here on HMH from the whole month! The show is at 10:00 PM on the 28th of February (EST) and runs for a whole hour until 11:00 PM, so come on over to Ponyville FM and we’ll have a jolly old time!

Ponies at Dawn

Ponies at Dawn is a collective project which releases a compilation album every few months. These albums showcase original brony music, often exclusive to the albums, and feature some of the best up-and-coming current brony musicians. They have released 6 full albums and 1 mini-album to date, with a new one entitled “Awakening” due to be released this April. You can check out all their releases here.

Canterlot Hill

Canterlot Hill is, in the broadest sense, a brony media site. They are the current host site for Everfree Radio, including a ton of regular live shows, both audio and video streams. They also have a section of their site dedicated to new music, a bit more extensive and all-inclusive than us. You can find their website here.

Ponyville FM

Ponyville FM is the longest running online brony radio station ever. They started off in January 2011 (under the name BronyRadio) and have been bringing pony music to the masses ever since! Now with a full website, 3 stations to choose from, and an enormous range of shows, they are one of the most popular brony gathering spots. You can check out their website over here.

Lycan Dese Beats returns this Saturday!

For those of you that don’t know the show, Lycan Dese Beats was started by Lycan and FritzyBeat about a year ago. It’s a weekly radio show all about brony music. The usual format involves a couple of fandom classics (older, memorable songs chosen by Lycan and Fritzy), a few songs around a certain theme, some audience requests and a showcase of new tracks from the past week.

After a month-and-a-half holiday break, the show will be returning this Saturday (6th Feb) at 12 midday EST, and will be simultaneously broadcast on both Canterlot Hill and Ponyville FM! The hosts will also be in Canterlot Hill’s IRC chat (where they take requests for the request section) if you want to join the conversation.

Spectra’s Top 10 Pony Songs of 2015

Hey guys, Spectra here. So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do one of these Top 10 lists, so after purging through my liked videos playlist altering my Top 25 of the year vote to avoid duplicates with the others from this site, I narrowed it down to these 10.
