Here’s something a bit different. Skyshard has just launched a new set of curated playlists (one on Spotify, one on YouTube) to help get some fandom music more frequent, more continuous plays. They explain it in more detail at the link below, but it’s essentially showcasing a rolling selection, updated weekly, of songs by brony musicians. They’re looking for both musicians and listeners in the fandom to submit suggestions for it, so check it out at the link below!

The results are in for the latest monthly favourites! Around 70 unique songs were voted for by the brony community from March. It’s a nice bonus touch as well to see what was popular a whole 10 years ago, and how far things have come since then. Go check it out to see what’s hot right now.

WOW! After another big year for fandom music, our friends over at Top Brony Music have tallied the votes and released this awesome video countdown of your favorite bangers from last year! While it may appear at first like there weren’t many votes based on the songs that actually made the video, the reality is that there were over 340 songs receiving votes – a testament to just how much incredible music and talent turned out in 2021! As you may expect from such a big turnout, there was an overwhelming number voters who participated in the making of this list as well! No spoilers, but there’s a nice mix of genres as well as new artists vs old featured!
Another month and another top 10 based on the votes of the community. More fans are engaging with the Top 10 channel which is great to see, and this month even had more variety with 76 unique songs receiving votes! Check it out and be sure to click through to the playlist of all the February music!

The Horse Music Herald officially turns 6 years old today! And like any 6 year-old, we want a pony for our birthday.
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us; our affiliates, the musicians, the fans, and all members of HMH staff past and present. I honestly never expected the success of the website to continue for this long and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We’re excited to make some changes at HMH too. We have recently been recruiting some more staff to help us promote brony music better and we’re planning a complete (long overdue) design overhaul of the website!
