Dusk – The Magic of Friendship Grows (Covering Daniel Ingram) | Heavy Metal

I don’t think we’ll ever forget about this song. Dusk has created a metal cover of The Magic of Friendship Grows, keeping the original vocals to give it a ballad-like feeling. While it remains heavy, the instruments play with a laid-back dynamic so as not to overpower the vocals or create a clashing feeling. Everyone’s voices fit the instrumental, especially when they’re all singing together towards the end. If you like his music, go see him at TrotCon if you can!

PrinceWhateverer – Old Phantoms | Post-Hardcore

Coming off his streak of tracks from REIMAGINE, PrinceWhateverer bursts back onto the scene with a completely new track! Old Phantoms is a fantastic display of his particular style of rock, featuring soft verses next to powerful and soaring choruses while a piano adds to the emotions exhibited. Thematically, this is a sequel to his earlier track Better Tomorrow, depicting Twilight thousands of years into her reign as Equestria’s ruler. This far in, she can barely remember who she was or who went on the journey with her, but believes everything was still worth it in spite of that. With this new tune, it’s clear Prince hasn’t lost his touch!

[ASOS] Age of Vinyl & Hay Tea – Calm Of The Sky (Koron Korak Remix) | Drum & Bass

For a song titled Calm Of The Sky, this sure is pretty cathartic and fast-paced. Track 21 from A State of Sugar: Brownie is Koron Korak’s remix of the Age of Vinyl and Hay Tea original! His take is an all-out beautiful piece that keeps the DnB feel of the original while putting an emphasis on the orchestral strings that shine through. Alongside the heavy bass and fast drums are heavenly choirs and bell sounds complete with orchestral string riffs. Just another amazing track in the ASOS and Koron catalogue!

Harmonic Six – Under Her Sun | Orchestral

Harmonic Six returns with their first original of the year, Under Her Sun! It’s an beautiful and emotional orchestral piece that fits her character very well, sounding as if she’s making a grand entrance, possibly for the last time before her retirement. The soft string tones in this track will definitely warm you up if you’re feeling cold.

Branrich VanIster – The Dazzlings | Soundtrack

Ever wondered what happened after Rainbow Rocks? Branrich VanIster’s created a small piece that could set the scene for them being forced to live in the new reality of them being unable to sing like they used to. As such, the music is slow and grungy, mostly consisting of an 808 drum beat and an acoustic guitar. The future sure sounds gloomy for this trio.

[ASOS] eksoka – Sartoria | Future Bass

Let’s give Rarity some love. Track 10 from A State of Sugar: Brownie is a VIP version of eksoka’s Sartoria! The original was a long house beat, but this new version sees things slow down while keeping a lot of the original elements such as the vocal samples and same general composition. Such a sweet and smooth remake!

StableTwoStallion – Böse Stuten | Industrial Metal

StableTwoStallion returns with his familiar German metal flair. Böse Stuten is about mares being bad, and coupled with the gloomy and eerie choir-laden metal song are images of anthro mares doing bad things. Mean mares and mean metal, what else could go better?

SCRATON – Veni Vidi Vici (Magic) | Future Bass

And so, we’ve come to the 6th and final piece of SCRATON’s mane 6-themed tracks. For those keeping watch, the last one we’ve been expecting is the element of magic, and it’s finally here. Veni Vidi Vici is a lovely future bass track with a smooth set of vocals and infectious trap elements. When the drop hits, we’re privy to a wonderful melody primarily driven by vocal chops and synths that you’ll never get enough of. The description notes that no king or queen rules forever, but their legacy will never die, which is a fitting analogy for MLP’s 4th generation as well as this series of songs. Such a beautiful way to send off this series of tracks!

Below is an additional review from guest writer DrakeEmberHeart.

Drake’s writeup:
SCRATON has saved Twilight for last. For the final track of his Mane 6 series, we get a track that feels and sound like what BOOKHORSE has been through. It’s some epic future bass that gets you picture the evolution of her character. The lyrics. The vocal chops, the spell binding meleody of her journey. When I hear this I picture her walking past moment of her greatness done in the show. From a student unicorn to big alicorn BOOKHORSE! This song is a celebration of princess Twilight Sparkle. As always this Qilin asks you to judge for yourself

[ASOS] Ice Angel – Soarin’ | Psytrance

WOAH! What a hyper explosive track 6 of ASOS: Brownie done by Ice Angel!. A track about a stallion who frankly doesn’t get a lot of music made of him. This track about Soarin; is a hyperbolt about a wonderbolt. SO much fire and lightning in this track. Your picture Soarin’ flying with such power and speed as this track just keeps hitting you with uplifting powerful melodies and drops! To be quite honest the music here gives me such a great feeling from another uplifting track from the movie The Never ending story, The track is called Bastian’s happy flight. From start to finish, your love this track about the wonderbolts most powerful dude! You’ll get this and more from this album! As always this Qilin asks you judge for yourself

Paloris – Hope (Ice Angel Remix) | Drumstep / Future Bass

This track really does live up to its name, with its non-stop vibe of hope as well as a  general uplifting feeling. It uses some epic electronic music (with the usual bass drops), drums, with a little bit of piano used throughout the track, to make a distinct, wonderful sound.
