It’s trance, but not necessarily as you know it. Here, Ponytronic seems to blend a couple of different styles of the genre – on one side it’s got the uptempo beat of uplifting trance, but also the chill and melodic elements of the kind of music I remember from artists such as SoaringFlight. Overall, a good combination, check it out trance fam!

Nicolas Dominique – The Last Shelter | Chillout
A much welcomed album release, The Last Shelter features rare tracks from the harbinger of Positive Electronic music we know as Nicolas Dominique, and this title track embodies the vision from Nemo2D’s ePONYmous artwork in a powerful musical way. With a deep, sci-fi tone portraying the magical world depicted, and positive waves flowing beautifully over the course of the track, The Last Shelter seems to tell a story and the outcome is both epic and comforting.
[P@D] Totalspark & Sonitus – Embrace | Chillout / Synthwave
I’ve noticed a trend in Totalspark’s recent tracks to play around with interesting chord patterns, and the progression in this does something that I always love in music. Sparky explains it himself in the video description, but it essentially resolves to a major chord at times when it’s in a minor scale. And I haven’t even got started on the arps, the lead, and the vocoded vocals, there’s just so many great layers of sound in this track that all mesh together brilliantly!
PonyChrome – Dash (Hay Tea Bootleg) | Drum & Bass
Hay Tea did it again! Get ready for new DnB greatness bringing back to the stage PonyChrome’s track Dash, and paying much tribute to it. This bootleg is making awesome use of the Chiptune core element from the original, turning it into a Chiptune-powered DnB musical bliss of much grace and nostalgia.
[P@D] Kadenza – Zen (#RoomVR Remix) | Liquid Drum & Bass
NB: This was originally posted on Equicity on 18 January 2017.
It ought to be noted that remixing a Kadenza track, some of which have previously been released on big non-pony labels such as NCS or Ninety9Lives, is no mean feat. And yet, those who are familiar with #RoomVR’s work—and I forgive those who aren’t, as his music was, up to this point, exclusively available on Soundcloud—will find their expectations to be wholly met by this track. This tune heavily relies on atmospheric chords and pluck melodies to carry itself, with a smooth sub and breakbeat that drives the song forward as a feeling of floating serenity settles in. As such, it certainly stays true to its title.

Eniix – Wonders | House
Flutterchops will never grow old, and it will never cease creating many wonders! Eniix’s new track is quite the proof of that, as it delivers a chill House beat graced by Fluttershy’s beautiful voice, and quite a pleasant experience. Subscribe to show your support to the artist!
Progressive Element – Stars And Sky (UndreamedPanic Remix) | Progressive House
Celebrate the might and many wonders of the Night as Progressive Element’s track Stars And Sky from Voyager gets sublimated by an amazing remix by UndreamedPanic, praising the original vocals with a whole new take and musical accompaniment. Rejoice as it enthralls the soul and takes you to a realm full of emotions and new possibilities… under the Stars And Sky.
Morgsch – Let The Sun Rise (Neighsayer Remix) | Chillout / Lounge
Here’s one if you’re in the mood for super chill stuff. Neighsayer has appeared plenty of times on previous P@D albums with fantastic live instrument production from jazz to blues and alt rock which my ears just melt into. Now they bring something even more smooth and mellow than usual with this remix of Mogsch and Itchigotchi’s Let The Sun Rise (albeit minus the vocals).
Totalspark – Battlecry | Hybrid Trap
Just as epic as what the cover art by Fruitbloodmilkshake implies (personal share), Totalspark’s new release through Shika No Mori Sound enlightens the soul and the battle spirit as a real musical embodiment of a Battlecry. Blending Trap and Dubstep elements, it is displaying much strength and dedication, and achieving the scale of Equestrian battles with clean yet sick melodies and wubs over a breathtaking progression.
Technickel Pony – Sprite | Hip-Hop
Technickel Pony brings some smooth zebra vibes with this new instrumental Hip-Hop track Sprite, and it just makes me want to immerse myself in an setting deep inside the Everfree Forest where some of the underground musicians and rappers are at, celebrating joy and harmony around a campfire and with background music such as this track. Funky!
