That title is a mouthful! Tw3Lv3 has taken one of the many memorable songs from Ponies At Dawn’s ‘Rebirth’ album and added a more upbeat and four-to-the-floor style to the original lo-fi hip hop track while still retaining that slick and swingy flow provided by all of the associated vocalists involved. A fresh coat of paint with a crunchy bass and a laid back yet energetic vibe. This one is a great one!

Blackened Blue – Another Magical Song | Metal
Blackened Blue’s metal is always a treat, and this piece is full of all the energy one might expect. Starting out with aggressive vocals that launch into a heavy metal instrumental, the power doesn’t let up throughout the track with plenty of blast beats and aggressive guitar riffs. The track itself is about Twilight’s rage at Sunny unlocking magic to the ponies of Equestria in the G5 movie – an interesting concept for sure!
PHES – Somepony To Cry With | French House
PHES’ focus on french house often results in some exceptionally groovy tunes, and this piece is no exeption. Featuring a combination of pony vocal chops from Equestria Girls and sampling from The Rah Band’s Tears and Rain, there’s a mellow atmosphere throughout the track that’s perfect for getting into a good vibe with.
Loopyy & Koa – Siren Song (Khaliber Remix) | Colour Bass / Future Bass
There’s been a lot of great remixes of Siren Song as of late and this is no exception! Opening with some very snappy vocal chops over a catchy trap beat, things only get more energetic during the drop! Pumping out some heavy colour bass vibes while still knowing when to bring everything back. This song ebbs and flows with great tension and release with a neat balance between future bass and colour bass and I am here for it!
Francis Vace – Earth Pony Balloon Escape Pack Ride (feat. Scoonie) | Alternative Rock
Initially released on Ponies At Dawn’s Aurora album as a solo venture, Francis has since updated it for his upcoming album release with the inclusion of Scoonie on some of the vocals as well. There’s plenty of the wonderful sounds you’d expect from Francis, with a bit more of an alt. rock vibe to it, as a tale is told of the earth pony who ended up drifting amongst the clouds during the recent G5 movie.
Caedon Hawk – Underwater | Pop
Caedon Hawk ponders the challenges of being a musical creator with this softly soulful track. The artist delivers their introspective analysis with fantastic vocals that float softly over a subtly groovy bassline and melody. Ultimately, the artist resolves to fight through the doubt that can result in that “underwater” feeling and chase after their dreams, and it’s my hope that anyone struggling with their own self-doubt will find the drive to do the same!
Maldecid – Magic Master | Deathstep
Maldecid harnesses the intensity and some great vocal chops from Twilight’s conflict with Trixie in the episode “Magic Duel”, and the result is this gripping Deathstep tune! The track pulses with magic and emotion, seemingly mimicking Twilight’s struggle with being bested by Trixie and her challenge to find a way to block out the negativity from this experience and defeat her. It’s a fiercely melodic journey through a wonderfully textured soundscape!
Frozen Night – Ambient.White OST – The Heart of Battle | Orchestral
Igniting the warrior’s heart within us all, Frozen Night’s “The Heart of Battle” expertly tosses the listener straight into the midst of an epic conflict. This cinematic soundtrack – the battle theme for the upcoming MLP-inspired game, “Ambient.White” – allows the listener’s imagination to soar with images of clashing swords, flashing hooves, and driving war drums that serve to propel the embattled soldier forward to victory. Stirring orchestral horns, strings, and percussion punctuated by staccato choirs paint an electrifying battle landscape, making this inspiring track one you’ll want to listen to whenever and wherever you want to kindle the fire of the warrior within!
Luck Rock – Between the Stars and the Sea (feat. RadRiveter) | Pop Ballad
Luck Rock’s “Between the Stars and the Sea” is musical storytelling straight from the heart. Lyrical beauty paired with conversational-style vocals and pared-down instrumentation highlight the heart’s search for meaning, purpose, and guidance originating from someone or something beyond ourselves. The stars hold forth the hope of eternity and guiding light from above, while the sea’s drifting depths and punishing waves call these into question. Luck Rock’s almost journalistic-style lyrics help us realize that we’re not alone in our quest for meaning, purpose, and light from above and encourage us to keep looking up when feeling caught between the stars and the sea.
[P@D] GrazySmash – Faravahar | Psytrance
GrazySmash always manages to find interesting ways to keep his flavour of psytrance fresh, and this track from Aurora is yet another example of that. Featuring a terrific lead synth that sounds clean, fresh and wonderfully suited to the atmospherics created by the psy bass and horn stabs, it’s definitely a banger.
