Evershade – Starlight | Pop

Evershade always seems to be Patient Zero for the infections beats, and with their newest track “Starlight,” I’m catching this infection too. From the Latin-type rhythms on the piano, to the bouncy lyrics, this song has all the signature catchiness of a signature Evershade song. But what makes this track special is the chorus. That shift from the bouncy to the more soulful and softer piano drives this track as an emotional masterpiece.

The Wilders – Where’d It Go (Pagan Pegasus Remix) | Hardstyle

We don’t get many remixes of “Where’d It Go” and that’s kind of a shame. I’m glad Pagan Pegasus decided to take the already Paramore-esque song and make it a harder hitting dance track. From the infectious beats, to the harder-hitting chorus compared to the original, this is one song that I cannot sit still listening to it.

Radiarc – Into Deep | Hybrid Orchestral

Radiarc is back with an incredible soundscape for everypony to behold. “Into Deep” is as it sounds, a exquisitely beautiful, dark, ambient and deep instrumental track. Over its course, you’ll hear a wide variety of sounds from wailing guitar, to dangling piano arpeggios, strained string, and some incredible effects using reverb. Throughout, the track evolves, slowly becoming more dark over time before returning and fading out with just piano. It’s a very introspective track with many elements which’ll will keep you intrigued beyond the first listen.

Pipetka – Party in the style of Trixie | Synthwave

We got a vibe over here! Breaking out the 80s beats and aesthetic, Pipetka delivers a catchy track that is impossible to sit still while you listen. The beat catches your attention immediately before the funky instrumentation and genre-specific synths blast you off on Trixie’s rocket to space. Short, fun, and addicting – “Party in the style of Trixie” is one song you won’t want to miss!

rawrity – brink! | Pop

Rawrity’s back with something a little different than her usual stuff. “Brink” comes with a live-action music video and is both peppy and catchy with its prominent saxophone and pony vocal chops. Don’t let what’s on the surface fool you – a lot of its lyrics hint at something amiss like “off course” and “they got to know I’m not alright.” That’s likely attributed to rawrity’s own grief at the passing of her mother. “Brink” serves as a lovely tribute to her and is definitely worth checking out.

4everfreebrony – My Cadence (feat. Koa) (covering Matthew Mosier) | Soft Rock Ballad

Two vocal powerhouses join together to cover one of the fandom’s all-time most popular acoustic songs. I’m at a loss for words here, and whatever I say through my tear-filled eyes won’t even remotely convey how beautiful and powerful this song is. The only word that keeps coming to mind is “wow.” I’m glad that 4everfreebrony decided to make the already stunning song into a soft rock ballad and that Koa lent her exquisite voice to sing the Cadance lyrics. Both of them complement each other’s voices perfectly to create this absolutely perfect cover. [Twitter: 4everfreebrony]

replacer – star sapphire in space | Synthwave

Replacer has been on a roll this past year, producing banger after banger & showing us that after 10+ years of making music in the fandom, they are still going strong. Synthwave has always been one of those genres that doesn’t come up that often, but when it does it is a treat for the ears – and this track is no exception. From the out-of-this-world, “spaced out” (puns intended) melodies and almost atmospheric core, I can’t help but feel relaxed, yet stimulated at the same time. Anyone else up for a retro space adventure with this song as the soundtrack?

The Wilders – Monster Party (Acid Applejack Remix) | Hardpsy

“Monster Party” was already a banger perfect for any party, and then Acid Applejack comes in and makes it into a rave track! I love that Acid Applejack not only seems to see any sort of song and say “Let’s add a lot more energy to it,” but makes a song that you can’t listen to staying still. From the crisp handclaps to the dynamic bassline, this is the song that you want to add to all your Halloween party playlists going forward.

Skyshard – Stargazer | Orchestral

If there is one thing that Skyshard is well-known for, it is laying out a scene and emotion very early on in a song and growing from there without leading us astray. “Stargazer” immediately sets up a calming, atmospheric feeling with sounds meant to simulate a calm evening by a waterfront that immediately gets me in the mood to relax and reflect. It quickly changes to a feeling of wonder as the song goes on, simulating imagination associated with the act of stargazing. With all the hardcore styles of music that dominate the Brony music scene, it is always nice to come back to a gentle & calming track that is meant to give us that excitement without the high-energy feels.
