The first remixes of Better Way to Be Bad from the latest episode are out!! NYMUND9 is definitely knocking it out of the park with an amazing Electro remix empowering the dark and villainous vibes with certain effects on the vocals, for pure bliss and emotion as we get a new experience of our beloved villains’ song. The intricate and refined melodies on those synths are working so well for the genre and providing a much cohesive electronic arrangement, and NYMUND9 even went all-out with crazy vocal chops out of Cozy’s voice!! With both uplifting melodies and a very deep and emotional part at 1:33, iblank2apples’ contribution to Ponies at Dawn Skyward is really divine! Such is the power of music and Blankie’s proficiency never ceases to amaze me, from Electro Horse to now Sneak Horse, I wonder what the third “horse” will be!
Forest Rain – Brony Pride | Rock Ballad
Echoing the brony family feelings from the iconic Proud to be a Brony, Forest Rain had the most wonderful idea ever with this heart-warming song part of the Discovery album. Indeed, it calls to our feelings for both the ponies and the community, and makes us gather while listening to the gorgeous vocals and tender instrumentation, and lingering in shared love. Once again, let us say that we are proud to be bronies, and that this is not just a fandom, but a family!
Daniel Ingram – The Place Where We Belong (Faulty Remix) | Progressive House
A wonderful surprise in more ways than one, Faulty’s new solo remix features banging Prog House beats and a rich composition, giving a new life to the Student Six’s acclaimed debut song! Their vocals are shining bright in this remix too, for emotion to surface again as it calls back to what we feel for these lovely friends!
Blackened Blue – Payout | Metal
Blackened Blue’s Metal treats are always such display of lovely lyricism about events from episodes, retelling them using the power of rock music! It feels so great to get a musical enactement of Twilight’s antics in S09E05 The Point of No Return, along the screaming vocals and the blissful sound of the guitars!
Spikey Wikey, Chang31ing & APPL3JVCK – Party’s Over (Chang31ing VIP) | Riddim
Bringing back a gem from 2015, Chang31ing gives Party’s Over a harder edge with a heavy and wide bassline and a fun use of sample splices and effects. Minimal percussion gives the track some notable ‘weight’ in its grandest sections while also giving room to breathe in the breakdowns. A great nod to the original and fun listening experience all around!
Forest Rain – The Tempest | Rock Ballad
Forest Rain releases yet another track from their new album Discovery, and this one focuses on Tempest Shadow’s broken trust and anger she harboured leading up to the events of the MLP Movie. Powerful piano chords and instrumentation accompany an emotional story in this ballad and you can really tell Forest Rain put a lot of love and effort into it and I highly recommend listening to this and the rest of the album!

The opener of the truly celestial compilation album Ponies at Dawn Skyward is making us soar to high grounds from the start! A stellar collab between two renowned pony musicians, it would make even Rainbow Dash envious with such display of awesome-ness from both Foozogz’s signature bright vibes and PrinceWhateverer‘s vocals to fall in love for, and it has quite a deep concept too!
[P@D] Jyc Row & PegasYs – I’ll Fly High (feat. BlackGryph0n) | Epic Orchestral
Ponies at Dawn albums are home to some of the biggest collaborations around, that’s a well-known fact, and here we are able to witness Jyc’s endeavor with none other than the talented and bringer of brony family spirit BlackGryph0n, for top-notch vocals along an epic orchestral instrumental! And icing on the cake, the track also features PegasYs who is known for his lovely lyrics, among other things! An aerial piece that definitely belongs on Skyward!

BlueBrony‘s pony passion and imagination are always such a delight to witness in his pieces, and his contribution to Ponies at Dawn Skyward is quite the display of both story-telling and musical prowess! Along with much emotion from the rich composition, the unique vocals are gracing the album and telling BlueBrony’s tale of ponies building an airship, and it’s so very appreciated! We love you BlueBrony!
