Now this was a pleasant surprise to find in my subscriptions! The original by Synthis and PegasYs is a full-out melodic dubstep song, so seeing it transposed to a guitar based song must have been an interesting feat. Nevertheless, Forest Rain delivers as usual, go check it out!
DJT – Aurora | Drum & Bass
Here’s an absolutely gorgeous melodic drum & bass tune from DJT. The track is the first to be released off his forthcoming Basking in the Earthlight EP which will be coming out in just over a month. Definitely a lot to look forward to!
Budzy – Subconscious | Dubstep
Another track from the Opalescence charity album, Budzy is back with some melodic dubstep. Check it out if your looking for wubs and/or if you’re interested in putting some money towards a good cause.
Knife Pony – Something New | Progressive House
It’s always nice to see Knife Pony pop up with a new track every now and again, so it was great to see he’d got involved with this charity album too. Check it out for some banging beats!
Otarine – Loyalty | Future
Another Opalescence track (they just keep on coming!), we have another case of a revamped older project. I think it’s great that we get to hear all these ‘recovered’ songs, there’s so much good music we would have missed otherwise! Check it out above for brokem beats and supersaws.
LeWuut – From the Stars | Progressive House
LeWuut is a (mostly) house producer who- wait, this guy still has less than 100 subscribers? This guy deserves some more love, go share this with your friends who like prog house! Anyway, have an uplifting house track for the Mane 6.
Francis Vace – Fireworks | Ska
The closing song (and one of my favourites) from his album Lost in a Pastel Hue, this song also features on Opalescence. I have to admit, I didn’t realise the meaning behind the lyrics until this video was released. Just goes to show effective subtlety is when writing music about colourful pastel horses.
StrachAttack – Bright | Hard Dance
You can expect quite a few songs on here from Opalescence in the coming days. First off is Bright from StrachAttack, and old project that he revived for this album in a somewhat unusual style. To quote the man himself, “Progressive House at 145 bpm, seriously, what would that even be?”
Horse Friends – Opalescence | Charity album to support TheLostNarrator released
Hey everyone. So, remember the announcement about that charity album we made a couple of days ago? Well it’s been finished and released! More details are on the Bandcamp page but basically, any funds needed to help TheLostNarrator will go to her surgery and medical fees, and anything raised past the $1,500 threshold will be given to a charity of her choice.
